  1. *sigh*.... i miss Japan 5 times is not enough!!!!
  2. to be honest, i've had my V35 for 3.5 years, and have done just under 17,000km's in that time. hasnt broken down or needed anything major in the way of parts. the other members here will give you a better idea than what i have here.
  3. much appreciated guys. i shall leave it.
  4. i'm staying at the Hearton hotel overnight before going to nagasaki in a few weeks time. cheap enough for a one night stay, it might be suitable for you too. To get there, when you arrive in kansai, there is a limousine bus that goes close to it ( HERBIS PLAZA) and you just walk to the hotel from there.
  5. evening all, Right, i am after a bit of advice with regards to this problem. I have a daily that i drive everyday into work. and the V35 is kept as a weekender / fun car and is lucky to get driven 60km's a month. the car was last serviced back on the 29th January, and here we are in freaking august already, the car has only done 1,200km's since the service. is it any harm in leaving it for another month or two? i now the lubrication of the oil and the contamination occurs, but if its done so few kilometers since the service is this still a factor? reason i'm trying to leave it ( or simply not drive it), is because i'm heading overseas next month and money is currently tight at the moment. after i come back ofcourse its going to be the first thing on the list to do. currently using synx3000 with a veruspeed/nismo oil filter
  6. oh god no, in some hotels, their twin rooms are the same sige as a single room. space was deffinatly a premium
  7. where do you fly out from? i'm heading over there next month hopefully for D1 in nagasaki. get a 14 day rail pass. travelling from Tokyo -> nagasaki by itself is a $300 one-way trip. so travelling from osaka -> tokyo -> osaka will be quite expensive without a rail pass. and you can use them on the local trains in the JR routes. dont know about renting a house, most gaijins with visa's seem to have trouble. i personally think it would be pretty impossible to rent a house for a week. just find a cheap hotel. my brother has stayed in Hearton hotel a few times, and if you book early enough the rates can be cheap too ( ~$70/night single room). if this is your first time to Japan.. head to a travel agent and tell them your requirements for hotels and your budget.
  8. rather be called a hater than find a news story with a V35 wrapped around a tree
  9. also, just say you got the car... ever thought about insurance?? feel like paying $3,000/year for insurance? aswell as the ~$600 in rego every year? also thought about the fuel to run it? these things dont usually like to run on the woolies 91 crap. how are you going to run and maintain the car when your only what? 17?18? on junior wadges. and say something on the car fails and needs replacing.. CD changer for example. ever think about these things? just get a shitbox, drive that untill your a better driver, have more experience behind the wheel. THEN get something like a V35
  10. yeah its only 6kw. but if they put the restriction to 206kw. then we would be complaining that cars that have 210kw's should be allowed too. they have to put the limit somewhere.
  11. i am not sure, but they send you a e-mail with a .pdf file to the original scaned document. aswell as a translated document. then they post the originals to you. yeah $100 is nothing when it means the diffrence between a $15k car.. or a $5k car. gives you a bit of piece of mind too
  12. i've found a guy on ebay that checks the registration on cars that have been exported from Japan, only takes about 5 days for them to do it. but they do come through with the goods http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271234223049?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_3332wt_1386 so if they dont let you have a look at the import documents/registration papers from Japan, and you REALLY want the car. then i would advise this to be done. its also valid for up to 4 years prior to the car being exported. mine was exported 3 years ago and all the details were still in Japan's systems
  13. also noticed the flare in the passenger side footwell....
  14. yeah first corner of the street tracks are always a mess, i usually just hang back a bit and watch everyone else go into the wall... its quite funny when your not involved in it
  15. its really fun and close racing when your in a pit full of white/green racers..... its frustrating when your in a pit full of yellow/organge racers also, soundtrack was released today aswell
  16. yep i run it. most of them take up one of the power points and you cant use it for anything else. the netcomm NP504 model is a passthrough model, so you dont have to sacrifice a power point ( if your like me and are a bit short of power points). http://www.megabuy.com.au/netcomm-netcomm-np504-powerline-500mbps-with-ac-p307966.html piss easy to set up and i had no problems. you wont have much problem with overloading the system power wise. as i have these connected thought the ONE adapter 1x UPS 2x PC's 3x monitors 1x PS3 1x printer speed wise, through my house ( built in the late 70's early 80's) its like running it straight from the router itself. i see no speed drop or packet loss, no lag. using download accelerators and i'm picking up 1.6MB/sec ( fast for our area) EDIT: might want to avoid TP link. my co-worker has the TP link version of these and his keeps on dropping out and he is having alot of problems with it...
  17. pretty sure most people use SSD's these days. but pretty much every 2.5" SATA hard drive will do the trick, just stay away from hitachi and western digital green drives if your going for a hard drive. people dont seem to like the Samsung 840 SSD, but mines been running fine for some time now. i use 2 places to get my PC gear from, PC Case Gear is one, but their freight can sometimes be pretty expensive. the other one i use is Megabuy, they work out about $3-4 cheaper on some items, but they use Star Track Express ( i personally favour them). http://www.megabuy.com.au/wd-wd7500bpkt-scorpio-black-750gb-25-sata-hard-drive-p257136.html http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210_267&products_id=16837

  21. dam was going to start this last night. beat me too it. Online is really good, if you can get a good pit. most of online now is just a demolition derby, so i only race online with people i know these days. oh, did i mention the people already at level 30 with the fastest cars? doesnt make online all that fun. i'm happy to race with any of you guys, so give us a yell when you want to have a run and i'll jump on ID: -=GA=- CLK-GTR and for those who havent played it before, heres a video from this mornings antics
