yeah i didnt think to clear the CMOS. so i'll get stuck into it early tomorrow morning. another motherboard is on order aswell as some new ram ( to suit DDR3 mobo). if i fix it before they arrive, i'll keep them as spares.

just replaced the PSU with a backup i have ( 700W). and no change. the loop is bascially restarting itself, i should of been more clearer. i cant get into the bios or boot menu because i cant get to the motherboard screen to press F12 / F9 to get bios/boot menu. i'll try your suggestions tomorrow morning when i wake up thanks for the quick reply

righto guys, problem.. help is needed. we just had a major storm over here, fork lightning, strong winds. the works. I noticed the storm was comming, so i shut down both the gaming PC and the server, turned off the battery backup system. and unpluged everything from the wall sockets. after the storm had passed, plugged everything back in, server starts up fine. gaming PC loops itself. turn on -> motherboard check -> loop -> loop -> restart. i can not see the motherbaord screen ( i.e GIGABYTE welcome screen). so i am guessing either the power supply has somehow shit itself.. or the motherboard has finally packed it in. any help would be appreciated intel core 2 quad Q6600 2.66GHz GIGABYTE GA-EP45 - UD3L Quadleadtek GTX 470 1 x WD green 1TB HDD ( boot drive) seagate 1.5TB HDD ( secondary/storage) Thermaltake Qfan toughpower 850W PSU Kingston HyperX DDR2 RAM ( speed unknown. cant remember) ah usual with tradition. something screws up over xmas period. BF3 is now up after sheduled maintenance, a new browser plugin needs to be downloaded.

anyone done much of the campaign? i've been playing online alot so havent really done much. but after playing this level, i needed tissues. the sounds and graphics are beautiful

i have just fixed my APPCRASH problem, and now running MP aswell as SP. if the game files are installed in " c:/program files/ electronic arts/battlefield 3". this destination folder has caused the APPCRASH for me. to fix it, you will need to re-install in this dorectory "C:/program files/ origin games/ battlefield 3" ( click the default button when it asks you for the instillation path.

to those of you on PC.. anyone have luck in loading the game? getting the APPCRASH when trying to load. this is why normal games should just boot from the desktop, not desktop-> origin -> web browser

spent the whole afternoon racing in the JP spa lounges. managed to get a 1:20xx in the X1, rather proud of my achievement. also started tuning the R32-33 touring cars for the track aswell, takes forever to get a good setup.

not sure if it came out today, but i only noticed it today the bundle contains: 15 new cars ( R32, R33, R35 race cars included) 100 new paint colours 8 new racing suits/ helmets from NASCAR/ WRC 2 new tracks ( Spa, some kart track)

just downlaoded the complete bundle for GT5. going to get into it later on this afternoon. has anyone run on spa yet?

i seem to find it easier to drive when i'm using bonnet cam. if i use the bumper cam i cant hit the apex's right and i end up being 2-3 sec slower per lap funny how a slight change in view can cost you that much time.

pretty sure i'd look strange buying a pair of stocking with no girlfriend in sight . but i never thought of using them as filters.

i've noticed that when the towers sit on the ground, there seems to be more dust in the cases in a shorter period of time ( from the carpet i imagine). at the moment both cases get a dusting every 6 months, unless i'm fiddling with them. then they get a dustout while the covers are off. 4x 2 TB at the moment. but theres another 2TB drive waiting to go in. once that goes in i'll be putting it into a RAID, probably something like RAID 5 the server was built to make use of old parts, and extra storage ofcourse. cabinets i've seen are around $600 + freight
