  1. Legend, thanks!
  2. Yes please I’d also like to know
  3. For that price you could buy the hypergear turbo (big fan as I run one) and the Haltech ECU..
  4. +1 for the Elite 2500. Get some new knock sensors while you are at it (pretty cheap), look up the TAARKS Nissan knock sensor kit. You may also want to get new coils (R35gtr) while your at it (assuming your on stock ones), as they are a liability. Mine started right up and idled fine on the base map. Also go MAP over MAF, as said above, Haltech make this super simple right out the box. Another fanboy of DBW here, Outsider Garage from your neck of the woods make some nice conversion gear for the R33 (that’s where I got some of my gear from).
  5. I have heard the frenchys kit (with the smaller toyota compressor) performs fantastic. i havent actually gassed my system yet, so cant confirm myself..
  6. I got the full frenchys kit too. Really awesome kit. Easy to install my only complaint was the hardlines I think could be routed differently (I modified mine) but I realise the kit needs to suit multiple applications. This was the hard lines before I modified them. They were touching the wastegate pipe. I ended up reducing the distance between firewall and first bend. The made it so they tucked along the frame rail.

A couple of the coffee & food places I liked around Tokyo: Switch coffee in Asakusa Bricolage in Roppongi Hills Bills Ginza Nakiryu Ramen in Minamiotsuka in Sapporo: Mermaid cafe Harry Bakery i found most places are not open before 10am but most the above open round 8-9am.

I’m pretty sure it’s Hekkelun coffee in Nishishimbashi Tokyo. He seems to have become a bit of an internet sensation with his caramel puddings (which are delicious) so it gets a bit crowded and isn’t the chill environment I like for a coffee..

I’ll upload photos once at home. The plane wifi wasn’t the best. i don’t feel like I did Sapporo justice, as I only had limited time to explore being stuck between hotel and convention centre…

I didn’t end up doing any tours or going to any meets in the end. I’m actually on a flight back to Tokyo now, transiting back to NZ. Japan was amazing! I loved Tokyo, although it was very hot and humid. The conference was in Sapporo in the north, which I didn’t get to explore as much as I would have liked but the climate was much cooler (and nicer) Best parts of the trip: checked out Nismo, which was cool but was quite a long way from inner tokyo, so I combined with a trip to Upgarage (and found some nice 3-piece SSR and Work wheels I nearly bought) the food and coffee was great, I found a Michelin star Ramen restaurant in Tokyo and it was amazing (and cheap) several nice cafes and bakery’s fireworks festival in Edogawa in Tokyo which was really cool I ended up walking nearly 60km in 4 days in Tokyo, so definitely got around a bit. I can’t wait to come back!
  13. .63 housing and about 315kw on a safe tune with pump 98.
  14. The ATR43SS2 is amazing. Great response and great sounding unit. mine was spec’s with ball bearing CHRA and the externally gated plumbed kit, with the gate welded to the exhaust housing. Both of which I recommend highly.
  15. I believe it’s the .63 housing
  16. A good shop should do a fitting to see what works best for your vehicle.
  17. The tyre fitment will be important here. You may be able to fit a super wide low offset wheel in but then you will be limited to stretch tyres.. I personally run a 18x9.5 +11 (rear) and 18x9 +18 (front) on my R33 and the tyres are only slightly stretched (check my build for pics). However, mine is definitely on the more snug fitting side.. IMO a 9.5" rim size (all round) id say a +20 to +25 on the rear and +25 to +30 on the front would be a reasonable fit with some room for decent tyres..
  18. Honestly, I did think the PDM could do it and thought Haltech told me the pump didn’t like it. But after re-reading the emails and comments above, I clearly misunderstood lol.
  19. Well that explains it!
  20. +1 on the FPG fuel hat! funnily enough I tried to PWM control my fuel pump (Walbro/Ti Auto 450l/hr) through the PDM and it didn’t like it. Scott from Haltech said they don’t like it? So I just run mine at 100%.
  21. The other thing to watch in the meisters is they have different faces to cater for different brake sizes. eg. i run an 'R' disc on the front (biggest clearance for brakes) and the 'O' disc on the rear. it doesnt impact size or offset, its just the shape of the rim face that changes.

Pretty easy here too. I just don’t want to take up too much of my time getting rental, returning it etc. the lazy part of me wants to just pay someone to take me lol.

Gday, im in japan late August for work. My conference is in Sapporo but I have given myself 3 full days to explore in Tokyo. I’d love to get to Daikoku but it seems it’s not the easiest to get to? Any recommendations on how to get there? otherwise I am keen to check out the nismo factory and maybe go to an upgarage while I’m there. Other than that I’m keen to explore some cafe’s and food places.. if anyone is familiar with some cool places in Sapporo would be great too!
  25. Build is looking great! did you end up wiring in a PWM signal to power steering to remove HICAS?
