  1. short shifters are reduced in height and also im pretty sure r33 shifter will go into a r34gtt box and yes the cheap shifters will damage your selectors but you could buy a qaulity one and end up with a nice shifter that actually works and lightening the shifter will probably result in missing gears when changing fast
  2. why dont you just buy a short shifter and also the weight is there to make shifting lighter and easier for the normal consumer
  3. yeh you cant have the drive shaft level between the diff and gearbox uni joints dont like it as they wear unevenly
  4. yes clutch pedal will bolt in and yes a 32 or 33 mastercylinder will bolt in and do the job you may need to rebend the hardline but that is nothing difficult got to love nissan interchangabilty dont stress so much its not an overly hard job just take your time with it
  5. yeh thats true but your talking about the pinnacle of motorsport with a street car your going to notice sfa differnce unless you go light weight with everything which in turn reduces it to not being a street car i think you will be disappointed with the effort involved youd notice more of a differnce striping the interior anyways its up too you this is just my train of thought
  6. not everyone has 2g to spend on rods alone and you can get your stock rods all done for less than 300 dollars inc arp bolts thats pretty good price
  7. 3076 .64 rear awesome on a fairly stock rb25 heaps of response lots of mid range pull = smiles all round
  8. by the time you buy arp bolts +shipping have your rods prepped balnced shot peened and what ever else you need to do they cost the same if not more than the eagle rods also eagle rods come with arp bolts the only way stock rods would be better is if you can do all the mods to them yourself im not saying stock rods are crap either but for the normal joe out there the eagle rods are a worthy investment and shouldnt be looked past
  9. i reckon youd havea prick of a time with a welded or mini spoll diff in rallying . coming down a straight at high speed with a bit of off cambered road slightly down hill off the throttle quikly into a corner and youll be off the track probably around a tree! lsd best option for rally way more control under braking on off throttle situations and control is what rallying is all about
  10. nothose pictures dont help you need to pull the rear housing of the diff to check what sort of centre you have and it def sounds like a 1.5way 2ways are usually really noisy make sure your mechanic dosnt try to rip you and replace the whole assembly as for driving with a 2 way take extra care in the wet when down changing gears sometimes its like pulling the handbrake on if your doing a lot of street driving maybe stick with a 1.5 way
  11. have a go youll be surprised at how easy it is sorry im trying to get my ten posts up so i can pm
  12. ithought it had been proven many times before that carbon shafts are unreliable and break more often than the factory items nearly all the fastest gtrs in aus run factory shafts what a waste of huge amounts of money better spent elsewhere
  13. [ no you cant fit gtr front hubs to your 32 gtst unless your converting it to awd and i doubt you will notice the difference in unsprung weight changing to gtr rear hub assemblies there is like sfa difference in weight and as for coilover options you can get a huge variety for a gtst 32 so all in all you should just buy new wheel bearings for your front hubs and be done with it
  14. more than likely slave cylinder when they reinstalled it it may have reseated in a better position then with driving it leaked again about 100 bucks for a new one and easy as to change
