I'm doing a joint degree - Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Arts Education. Majoring in Literature, with a sociology minor, which will make me an English teacher when I'm finished! I was doing a Bachelor of Education at La Trobe but I grew pretty tired of the primary school thing. Furthermore, I'm shit at maths... and I had Grade 6 kids on teaching rounds who were more adept at long division than I was. Not cool!

I also have the rear seat audio jack/volume knob assembly from the 87 model in perfect condition, as well as one pair of the headphones that have sat in the packet unopened for 23 years! They went on Ebay a week or two ago for a fair sum... I'll take $30 for both.

I'm here on the forum for business, want those two R31's in the car port gone. Can't afford to fix the complete one so I'm parting the buggers out. I live in Ballarat now, actually did move here for work purposes about 12 months ago, and I'm originally from Bendigo. Twisties eh? That's more my style... I wasn't into cars much until I got my Soarer. I've been a bike nut all my life, but I'm motorcycle-less for a while til I get my head on straight. By the time I'd had my licence for 6 years I'd lost it 5 times, spent more time walking than motoring! The last time I lost it was for high speed chases on my Suzi 750, so I sold the thing. Used the cash to put toward the Soarer... but do miss the bikes something fierce. I'll throw my leg over again one day - I've already promised myself a 1994 Ducati 916 as a graduation present when I finally finish my degree! They'll become a collector's item soon... the 94 original with the gold 3-spoke rim and the single side swingarm... hang a pair of Termignoni carbon fibre mufflers off the arse end and park the thing in the loungeroom at night!!

somebody wanted to know if I have the Silo steering wheel... unfortunately no, both cars are the pov pack versions.

Hey people! Here's the short and sweet: I have 2 R31's collecting dust in my car port, and taking up valuable room which my Soarer should be using. I'm back at Uni part time and have absolutely no need for this many cars! The '89 R31 is a complete car but there are a few issues with it, so it's being parted rather than me either fixing it or selling it whole for a song. The '87 R31 was the parts donor for the '89 and there are a few parts missing, but still some good stuff to be snapped up before it takes a trip to the car grave yard. I'll take pictures of stuff if people want them. 1989 R31, auto, white, bog stock: Bonnet ($100), boot lid ($60) and all four doors ($60 each) are in awesome condition. Blue cloth trim is in crap condition, but if someone wants it it's theirs. Bonnet has a little "46" badge on it, stuck on with 3M tape so easily removed, $10 off if you know what it's there for. Glass headlights are in immaculate condition and I'm after $50 each or $80 if you want them both. The front left quarter panel has some damage to it, and some prick dented the right one on the night the windscreen was smashed by vandals. If you're interested, I'll take a picture of the damage. Going free - come and get them. Near new windscreen - $80 if someone wants it. Other glass, just ask. Hot plate tail lights are in very good condition. I'm after $120 for the pair. The four tyres are "Blue Streak" brand, GT770 model I believe. Suit stock rims. If someone wants them when I get rid of the car, they can have the lot for $250 - heaps of tread left, you also get the rims... and I'll throw in the spare (hankook I think). Seats are blue, in excellent condition. $50 each for the fronts and $60 for the whole rear seat. Fuel pump good, $30. Radiator good, $30. Steering wheel, dash, auto shift surround, all great condition. Make an offer. It has a tow bar - if you want it, $40. Engine has done around 270,000km. Most parts in great condition - new coil, plugs, leads etc recently. Crank angle sensor fine. Gearbox fine. Let me know what you want and I'll see what I want for it! ECU still going strong. $100 That's all I can think of at the moment... if you want something I haven't listed, just let me know. 1987 R31, auto, white, bog-stock: The following items are missing: Crank angle sensor, top part of intake plenum, fuel pump/sender, various interior parts. I picked it up cheap (no reg etc) from the auctions to get some parts for the '89.. too much missing to get it running again easily. Pretty much the same stuff as the '89 model is available - everything in very good to excellent condition, and same prices. You can call me if you have questions. Hey folks I'm Glen from Ballarat, VIC, and I'm here on business terms. I'm actually a Soarer enthusiast with a 92 UZZ31 V8, but around a year ago I bought a 1989 R31 to drive to work. My Soarer kept getting dirty in the car park and work was a long drive, so I didn't want to put too many km's on the beast. Further, 960km a week for work was costing an absolute bomb in fuel for the 4L V8! Anyway, I've got two R31s (1989 and 1987) in the carport. The '87 was my parts donor for the '89 model, and I no longer require either car. The '89 has a few problems so I've decided to part both of them out, hopefully some of you need some bits and pieces. I'm about to start a thread in the parts section advertising what I've got! Hope you're all enjoying your Skylines, Cefiros etc... I don't know much about them but I do have immense respect for the power you guys can get out of those RB engines!
