  1. Could it be the farting BOV problem or have you already replaced the BOV? http://www.skylinesa...327936-m35-bov/ It was a problem on mine and replacing the part cured it but yours could be something different. HTH, Jas
  2. While i agree with you in theory on the time it "should" take, these can be a pain in the ass when they're rusted in and eventually need to be be cut/ground from the hub. 3 hours is about right if they want to stubborn.
  3. Changing wheels/alloys to a non standard offset can also change the load characteristics placed on the OEM bearing and assist in their premature failure. Unless you have original log books for the car, i wouldn't place a great deal of faith in the KM's on the ODO either so this might not be the best indicator to go by.
  4. As Duncan said, start with a commercial option before going all hardcore on the engine. I will usually use the Liqui-Molly Detox on any car i buy with the initial service, works a treat for me and then i use the standard flush at each service from there on but everyone has their own views on engine flushing; http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Liqui-Moly-Engine-Detox-Treatment-500mL.aspx?pid=156705#Description If this doesn't work and you need anything more serious, you can move up the scale gradually but i'd leave diesel for the less advanced tractor engines..... Jas
  5. If you haven't already tried it, start with the easiest option and give the ATTESA system a flush. You can do this in under an hour and all you need is a few liters of Matic D (Nulon works a treat), some clear tube and a 10mm spanner. It's one of the easiest procedures to do on the M35 and will cost under $50 even if you have to buy a cheap spanner!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/366591-q-4wd-light-stuck-on/page__st__60 It's worth a try before chasing a problem that might not be there perhaps??? Jas
  6. White C34 turning on to Kessels Rd Macgregor (QLD) about 1:30pm today. I think we sort of exchanged waves
  7. C'mon.... Everyone wants a pink car..... It's actually a great colour when you see it in the sunlight (seriously!) And yeah, poor Steve copped some stick for it for sure.
  8. Blatant plug ( i know you're in Adelaide!).... We're finally letting our M35 go (reluctantly!) and she's well priced with slotted brake rotors FTW! http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-stagea-2002-13619299?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=30&page=3&eapi=2&__N=1246+1252+1247+1282+4294963846+4294960181+1216&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Year:2002,Max&sort=default It's never missed a beat in the 3 years we've had it, they really are a fantastic car to own. Whichever M35 you get, you won't be disappointed at all.
  9. Changed the front passenger wheel bearing yesterday. Far from a straight forward job, a real pain in the ass in fact! The inner race decided it didn't want to separate from the hub assembly and needed to be carefully ground off and "re-persuaded" with the puller before it finally came loose. On the bright side, the difference is incredible, she's so quiet again & no more horrid bearing noises (nothin' but zorst!)!!!
  10. Chris, i'd imagine if you were in an accident with the trailer on your insurance company would drop you like a ton bricks. Not only would you not be covered for damage to your car and others, i would think you're not going to to be covered for any personal injury others might incur (ie the injured people sue you). You could stand to lose everything because of an illegal modification. I could be wrong (i'm far from being a legal eagle) but i wouldn't go on a public road with it either mate. Best of luck. Jas
  11. I did exactly the same procedure with mine too Dale, thanks for the better explanation mate, it was a while back i did it. It was a real pain in the backside rattle too...
  12. Hey Josh, I'm pretty sure it's tightened by a grub screw with an Allen Key/Hex Head from memory. Have a look around the base where it meets the screen, you'll see it there but it's only tiny. Mine was loose at one point and rattling slightly so gave it a tighten and all good now. Hope that helps, Jas
  13. Jez, If the foggies were on wasn't the copper breaking the law? Pretty sure now in QLD you can't drive with your fog lights on without fog? Someone arrest that man! Jas
  14. Have a look at www.saveontyres.com.au , they have Nitto Invo listed for $200 delivered. http://www.saveontyres.com.au/tyres.html?tyre_width=70&tyre_profile=51&tyre_diameter=34
  15. Gotta love irony! The thread was closed by Nick, who owns a C34! Why not just use the search function built into the site or use Google search query site:skylinesaustralia.com followed by what you're looking for. Always works for me. Jas
