Perhaps while it's reaching operating temperature it remains closed? On mine at least, in manual mode, 5th gear isn't available until the box reaches temp either. I would assume this is also to help it get to temp quicker (or the transmissions f$%(ed )

Damn double posts!

Forgive my ignorance with this question as I'm yet to fit a transmission cooler... If you put a cooler on the transmission don't you use the lines that loop through the radiator? If this is the case the cooler still won't work when in manual mode? This would make the cooler pointless when you're having a spirited drive in manual mode wouldn't it? Is there a way around this? Cheers, Jas

M35 Stagea - Wrecking Whole Car
HER_M35 replied to chadsta's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Same thing, except for the other side. We want their battery cover to complete the look and they want ours.... -
Josh, is that the same Valium that gets rid of the cigarette smoke smell from your car? http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6242922

Pretty much the same as i had concluded, however, the issue i see is sealing it up again. Any water inside and it might be stuffed anyway. You should be able to find quite a few on trademe.co.nz there's always a few M35's being parted out on there; http://www.trademe.c...ch_suggested=10 Although this is potentially a quick fix, it isn't as satisfying as repairing the original in my view.

May also be the windscreen seal, worth a look there too.

+1. I think cutting is the go and there is a thread where it's mentioned but no directions on how it's done. I'll be watching for info from anyone that's cut into one too. I need to do it too and have removed the piece like you but haven't had the guts to attack it with a Dremel in case i cut through a circuit board or something. Love to hear what others have done.

Jean, unless i'm mistaken, he means the button behind that one, in the background? Agree that it may have been disconnected during compliance.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
HER_M35 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi Paul, forgot to add, there's a few threads dedicated to this subject too; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/327936-m35-bov/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/314048-m35-strange-exhaust-noise/ If you don't have the problem though, i wouldn't bother replacing the BOV. In my case, fixed the issue instantly & i'm as happy as a pig in mud. -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?

If the original was working properly (as in not farting and causing the whole car to vibrate, like mine, even under moderate boost), there's no reason to replace it and i would have kept the stock one. I could have purchased a second hand one and potentially ended up with the same problem or probably spent more (i din't even bother to check TBH) on a new one from Ni$$an. I purchased the Turbosmart from Mick at BoostnImports for $387 delivered, great guy to deal with and amazingly fast delivery. Jas -

Fitted our new Turbosmart Dual Port BOV (TS-0205-1026) today and took her for a test flight. Solved the farting BOV issue which was getting progressively worse which was the reason for grabbing it. Also appears to have reduced a bit of lag and made the M35 more responsive and feels like it has a bit more fire in the belly according to the Bum Dyno! Even better was the fact it worked (for my needs) straight out of the box. Running it in full plumb back mode too. -
Very nice dark blue M35 AXIS with a rear wing and Nismo rims by the look of it. You were parked outside WOW at Underwood, QLD around lunchtime today. The Zone Centre i think it's called. If you're on here, really nice ride and love the rear wing too, looked schmick! Jas

Piss poor spelling and grammar aside, i think we all read it pretty right.....

Cel On After Radiator Replaced
HER_M35 replied to ArdentEagle's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi Ryan, If you turn the heater all the way up to the hottest when the car is up to operating temp and the heater doesn't blow hot there'll be an airlock. The G35 FSM has the correct procedure for getting the airlocks out which works with a bit of time and patience. I've done this a few times now with success. Here's the extract from the manual; Warm up until opening thermostat. Standard for warming-uptime is approximately 10 minutes at 3,000rpm. Make sure thermostat opening condition by touching radiatorhose (lower) to see a flow of warm water. CAUTION: Watch water temperature gauge so as not to overheat engine. 7. Stop engine and cool down to less than approximately 50°C(122°F). If necessary, refill radiator up to filler neck with engine coolant. 8. Refill reservoir tank to "MAX" level line with enginecoolant. 9. Repeat steps 4 through 7 two or more times with radiatorcap installed until engine coolant level no longer drops. 10. Check cooling system for leaks with engine running. 11. Warm up engine, and check for sound of engine coolantflow while running engine from idle up to 3,000rpm with heater temperaturecontroller set at several position between "COOL" and "WARM". Sound may be noticeable at heater unit. 12. Repeat step 10 three times. 13. If sound is heard, bleed air from cooling system byrepeating step 4 through 7 until engine coolant level no longer drops. Clean excess engine coolant from engine. If you don't have the Factory Service Manual and want a copy, PM me and i can send it to you. Jas -
There's not many Stagea's that can't....

There's a few M35's on TradeMe.co.nz, might be worth a quick email to them. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/other/auction-438606479.htm Good luck with the search mate. Jas -
For Sale M35 Turbo Suit Hi-Flow
HER_M35 replied to Griffin's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Um, no. Back one page you'll see it's sold (to me). Cheers, Jas -
Can you tell us how they stuffed you around? We have Just Cars insurance on our M35 and pay $727pa for the car parked inside our residential block but only under a carport. I'd be happy to pay more though if it means you won't get stuffed around by dodgy insurers when it's time for a payout!
-
Isn't the volt meter showing alternator output to the battery? If the earth is dodgy it will be charging the battery less effectively than the meter is showing. Just thinking out loud, i've never really looked to verify.
-
Same here. I had to consider shipping to QLD then most likely having to ship parts to members all over the country when parting out. It ended up going for $2500 + fees i'm pretty sure.

For Sale M35 Turbo Suit Hi-Flow
HER_M35 replied to Griffin's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Cool, appreciate your feedback on GCG, i think I'll avoid them. I'll do some more research and also give Precision a call when the time comes. Turbo arrived today too, thanks Griffin! -
Yeah, time to brush up on the Russian hey! Of all the pages I've read on the AVC-R install on our cars, i can't believe i didn't find that one, nice find, thanks. I have to admit, the translations from Google and Chrome make for a ton of laughs......
