  1. This may sound crazy, but have anyone put a roof rack on the 350GT coupe (those that you clip on when you need it and you can remove the whole thing when you don't need it)? That'll be really handy to hold my snowboards during trips to the mountain! Anyone done that before? Thanks!
  2. Yeah... I saw the illustration as well! Not too sure if it's there to show the boot is bigger than it seems! Well, loved the car, but the mrs is abit sceptical on the boot space... that's why I thought I'll just ask the experts here for more idea! Also, just want to find out if most of the people with the car is using the car as their main car (which is what I am intending) or is just using it as a weekend cruiser / big boy's toy.
  3. Hi! I test drove a GT350 coupe today and loved it! I do have some concern with regards to the luggage space of the car. My wife and I both enjoy trips to the mountains for snowboarding. Do you guys think that fitting our luggage (usually a mid size luggage bag) and 2 snowboards into the car will be a problem? Have anyone of you tried doing this? Also, do you guys use the GT350 coupe as your daily / main car or you usually have another bigger car for long trips? Also, will the boot of the car be able to fit a large size luggage bag? It seems possible from what I saw, but I am just not too sure and just want to find out more. Currently looking to import one from Japan and just wanna be sure on things. Any help will be most appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the reply received so far. So I guess regardless of whether the car is badged as a Nissan or Infiniti, is it the same car? Also, are there any reliability issue with the Infiniti when compared to a Nissan? Are they both made in Japan? Or are those cars with the Infiniti badge just a Nissan which the previous owners rebadge themselves to Infiniti? Really appreciate the replies and hope more will give me a better idea on this. Thanks!
  5. Hi all. I m looking to import a skyline 350gt coupe in n the dealer helping me to find a car here from japan gave me a few cars to choose. All cars r up for auction this week n I notice that the cars r badged as Nissan n Infiniti. I thought Infiniti r the Nissan equivalent in the USA n they r only sold in north America. Is this the case or there r Infiniti version of the 350gt also available in japan or these r cars from the US? Are they any difference between to 2 cars with different badge? Should I only look for Nissan badged ones? Really appreciate any help n advice I can get as I need to update the dealer soon. Thanks all in advance.
  6. Hi all, Just want to know what's the mileage of your Skylike G35 coupe? Is there a certain mileage when the car will start having problems? Are 100k km consider high mileage for these cars? I am in NZ and I noticed the jap imports we have here are usually quite high mileage (around 80k km). Is that ok to purchase? Thanks!
  7. Hi everyone, I am new here and I will be viewing a 2003 Nissan Skyline 350 GT Coupe here in New Zealand this weekend. I had always loved the shape of the coupe version of the 350 GT. However, I am really not too sure on how good is the car. Being Nissan, I would assume it to be fairly reliable however, I am keen to know more:- 1) Has there been any really common mechanical problem with the car? I do see in other forums that the electric windows are one of the problem area but most ppl are saying it's not a too hard problem to fix. Is there any other problems that I need to be worried about or take note? 2) I understand there is a CVT version of the gearbox. Is this available for the 2003 version of the car? Frankly, I prefer no CVT as I heard the CVT transmission is more prone to fault. 3) What is the cost of maintaining the car? Are 2nd hand parts / aftermarket parts easy and cheap to obtain? Will there be more cost in maintaining the 3.5l V6 engine compared to other 4 cylinders engine? 4) How is fuel consumption like? Normally how far can a full tank of fuel last? I am really excited at the prospect of getting the car as I had always admired those I saw on the road. However, still need to make sure that it is not over my budget to maintain it going forward. Everyone's help and view on this will be most appreciated! Do give me more details on other things that I should be aware of if I had not mentioned about it above. Thanks everyone! Cheers! Also, I am looking at the sedan version and there are a few 2.5l versions available. How powerful are these compared to the 3.5l version? Are the basically the same engine but less powerful? How will u rate the 2.5l version of the skyline?
