    yeah sequential is great IF its working correctly, mazda (13BTT) and toyota (1J) gave it a shot but i believe they both went back to singles (also more cost efficient)

    you say the car blows black smoke when you get it running again, could the plugs be fouled from unburnt fuel? i know its a different engine (RB30E) but i had the same sort of issues you have, i got it sorted but i needed to change spark plugs to getting it running sweet again

    well no, its not a blow off valve otherwise it would be called that, youd know if i was a tripper or not as i did buy the drugs off you

    ^^ no you didnt buy one. .the factory RB20 DET has a gas RECIRCULATION valve on it

    hi, quick question- are bearings in an r34 cas replaceable? specialist job or can it be done at home?

    ^^ the turbo versions dont have (factory) BOVs anyway

    wow. . . send me the money(aus dollars not euro monopoly money) and i will get a nice 25/30 engine for you(engine only), whack a rb20 cam cover on it and no one will know

    wrap the muffler with rubber tape? hope you have a fire extinguisher handy

    ^^ not silly thinking at all, i broke BOTH the engine mounts on my datsun , i didnt (not even vibrating!)know it until the exhaust pipe was touching the body of the car (the engine/drivetrain moved to one side) NO other symptoms and it took me awhile to work out where the problem was

    power steering leaks are an added bonus in old r31s , ive had four r31s and three of them leaked fliud and the fourth one had a reconditioned rack and hoses put on it just before i got it expect any stuff you get from the wreckers to be equally tired and in need of replacement/repair

    i dunno which r34 didnt have tc but i picked up a dead s2 rb34 rb25det from hyperdrive in malaga and the tb didnt have tc

    no, no disadvantage or advantage as stated above they are the same head

    not all the 34s have tc but it ends up being the same length anyway

    course you can, but this is the western australia section! unlikely anyone will fork for the freight me thinks

    no, you have to use the 34 cas as the keyway on the camshaft is different to the 32/33 rb25s

    if no bolt then you should be able to (gently!) pull the reservoir out if that idea seems daunting then leave it in place and you might be able to mop up the sludge with a clean , lint free rag, use a clean screwdriver to push the rag against the inside of the reservoir
