  1. might be a good oportunity to swap out the motor for something better, if you cant do the labour yourself then you are up for a fair few $$$
  2. ^^Agreed, i also think it is a bottom end bearing. . you need to get that motor sorted asap and dont drive it

  5. the hose that is missing is about 3~4 cms long and goes on the underside of your throttle body. . looking back the other way its an anti pollution pipe that goes back to the charcoal cannister

  7. next time cover the bubble with a dash mat :-) jiffo is quite correct, the ecu plug bends like a banana, doesnt help when dopey auto electricians overtighten it and distorts it even more
  8. you will need a complete 25de + computer+ afm etc. . available for under a grand, change the timing belt and water pump if the ks are unknown, add more $$$ for a qualified mechanis to do it for you

  10. yep, the spray on caustic soda degreaser is the go, cleans off the real stubborn stuff, like most degreasers its best done while the engine is warm (not hot)
  11. replace the HG and find out what caused it to blow in the first place
  12. looking at the (red arrow) picture its a fuel damper. .
  13. if its running fine with the correct AFR i wouldnt be overly concerned about it
  14. yep^^ get one of these filters. . Mark is more than helpful and really good to deal with, have your hose size handy when you order

  16. take key to a locksmith and he will sort you out
  17. get on ebay and for about $7 you can get a english translation sticker which goes over the jap sticker on the fuse box cover

  19. pf its good that you are thinking outside the box mate but for the$$$ that you are spending you are not going to get much bang for your buck~dont take this as being negative take it as being realistic
  20. there is a piston pin there that does wear out. . .all i can suggest is you take the lot to an engine reconditioner where they can run calipers over the worn/unworn parts and tell you if its still within tolerances and what parts you need to buy
  21. ^^ exactly. . i tried auto to manual with a bluebird that i had, total PITA! just get a manual 33 $3500 sounds too cheap for the swap
  22. no doubt the noise is low down but ive had the EXACT same problem on my auto 32 and the EXACT same buzzing sound and itcame from down near the trans, as soon as i had adjusted the tps it stopped
