The liquid will be condensation/water vapour
NOT unburnt petrol
Its dark coloured because the water is picking up the carbon and ash that is sitting in the exhaust pipe
^^ even a brand new block and Internals can be destroyed by poor tuning/assembly/maintenance
I understand that you dont want to be forking out for a new block etc but there must of been other issues that killed your engine so quickly
Why did it let go?
I dont know if there is a lot of info on what you are asking , if an engine is built/tuned/maintained correctly then sleeving and grout shouldnt be needed
Why not leave the hoses/charcoal cannister connected? There is no power gain to be had by removing them and if the car is registeted for the road the cops can give you a defect notice
^^hmm google must have it wrong then because it shows the cam profiles between the r33 rb25det and r33 rb25de are the same - 240 degrees duration and 7.8 mm lift on both inlet and exhaust
^^ yes I already know that it would need a retune (ive also agreed above on that point) 9.0 to 1 is plenty high enough for a na 2.5 litre and most other engines with efficient 4 valve and dohc designs heads. .engines can be de+t and det-t...
Im not arguing that its a waste of money. . . My point is that its achevable /doable
^^what a load of misinformed dribble, 9.0 to 1 isnt by any means "incredibly low comp" , it will run fine after a retune and it will be okay to run 91 ULP and wont run like shit at all
No offense intended but you need more than "point in the right direction"
swapping engines is a big job and I STRONGLY suggest you get someone experienced to watch over/help you out as its real easy to make expensive mistakes
