agree with that ^^^ ! if the motor stalled whilst idling then you could have a spun bearing / scored crank. . metal swarf in the oil galleries, anything really, suggest you strip the engine down and then determine what you need from there
as dicussed with you yesterday it depends what the mechanic finds wrong with it. . piston rings might have been cooked therefore they will have lost the tension. . . mechanic also may need to machine head flat if its warped and he needs to determine what caused the hg to go in the first place. . there are too many variables to give you an accurate costing on repairs
for the price of the rings you might as well use new ones. . not forgetting you will need to give the cylinder bore a light hone with the correct crosshatch pattern
if you are refering to a r33 series 1 rb25 loom then they are different. . this has vct and injector clips are diffrent to the 20 loom and thats just the obvious stuff
^^^^ this amount and that is a modest guesstimate. . .~as advised, you would be better off getting a car with the motor you want already in it especially as you have no tools
sounds like an accurate diagnosis. . cheap fix? dunno. . depends how much you can do yourself, i believe you will need to pull the dash out to replace the leaking heater core
hi , im chasing a reasonable condition drivers seat from a type M (different colour to regular 32) in Perth but happy to pay freight for the right seat; PM if you reckon you can help
Steve
^^`suggest you turf the rims if they are stockers
took the rims to alliance: the owner suggested i fix the rim rash with body filler and yes he was serious ( as well as being completely uninterested) so i reckon i will give briffa engineering a shot
