    sounds like you need to go over the whole car with a spanner and tighten up evrything that is loose and go from there. . .also fuel choice can affect pinging too

    good one . . ive thought cutting the gtst bonnet to look like a gtr one would be possible and (as of last year)the grilles are still available new and just jap stocks new fibreglass gtr style bumpers that fit the gtst reo.

    Sounds like like these motors mite be v good to use. . With a slight drop in compression they would be good to turbo. . Good port size,vct etc.have look on a few engine impoters web sites but havnt sen any listed as yet

    sounds like detonation damage to me otherwise i would still be looking for a cause . . .the HG are the fusable link on any motor and under normal operating conditions last a very long time. . .ie ive had unopened motors with 300,000 +ks on the original HG

    if you havnt identified the cause of the blown head gasket (detonation, overheating ...?) then its highly likely that it will blow again

    the exhaust wrap will eventually rub through where its touching the body, as said elsewhere the exhaust MUST NOT be hard up against any part of the body of the car, even if its not the cause of the drone, i suggest you add more clearence

    cost depends on how much your parts and labour comes too . . as said above, probably cheaper to get a XR6T and sell your current ride

    wonder if the stud pattern on the head bolts etc are the same as a 32 RB20DET ? would make for a good RB20DET/RB20DE neo hybrid

    if you keep the hicas on a gtst its still not that easy but sounds easier than a gtr

    i had issues similar to this an adjustment to the TPS cleared it up

    some ppl might like the smaller motor for theslightly better fuel economy over the 25,with PULP being around $1.60 (most of the time) here in WA that might not be a bad thing

    noise not only exits the end of the exhaust pipe but also resonates thru the pipe itself, exhaust wrap would act as a silencer as well as keeping up exhaust gas velocity

    ha ha! yeah, there is heaps of aftermerket hi flow cats on the market that its not worth the agro if you are caught with a gutted cat

    ah okay, so youre saying they wont/cant fit into transmission tunnels easily?

    Howdy, out of curiosity more than anything, why so few ppl use GTR transmissions in their GTSs etc? i can see that you would have to mod the tailshaft but would there be any other fitting hassles/issues?
