yep, use the GTR set up, one race team i read about break half shafts on a semi regular basis then tried using aftermarket shafts but they broke more often than factory shafts, thier solution was to use new factory shafts and change the way they launched the car (ie no axle hop)

i see your point , a brake activated IC spray would be more effective than a boost activated spray, as the car wont ever see a race track where you would be on/off the brakes all the time then this wont work for me

looks like the way to go then, cheap n effective, if it looks like heatsoak might become a problem then its very easy to make a intercooler water spray that is boost activated, picked up a 10 year old issue of ZOOM magazine at a bookshop that has a story that details how to do it

so a shortened factory shifter would serve the same purpose (?) as the pivot point would be difficult (at best) to change?

well done on thinking outside the box! anything has to be better than a NA RB30E but doubt that you will get it passed without upgrading the brakes and other things too, gonna cost ya alot of bucks as its unlikely there will be an off the shelf fitting kit available

damn engineers! all those years of school and study and they cant get a SMIC and turbo sizing correct! AND nissan has the hide to PAY them! the bumper reo(got another uncut reo) has been cut to the shithouse on my 32 by a previous owner (highly illegal by the way) to fit the FMIC, hence one of the reasons why ive gotten the SMIC back on it and the turbo has been swapped out to a 25 turbo so no problems there , if i have flow restrictions then the option of an aftermarket SMIC is there

dont forget the weather will affect what grade of oil you should run, slightly thinner for winter, slightly thicker for summer

can you shorten your existing shifter?

you would have to be keen to want to swap over from auto to manual. . . add to your budget if you cant do the conversion yourself

the E10 is fine, the ethenol in the fuel has a "scouring" effect on any grunge in filters and lines, some fuel hose is not compatable with the fuel and can start to break down from the inside out ^^^ you beat me too it!

Sealed unit, cant be fixed, new ones arent hugely expensive

sounds like the clutch fan on the engine is locked up and not slipping when it should (cold)

yes it can be tuned to run you 25/30 but the 20 NIStuned ECU wont support the VCT (if you still have it)

can you go to the wreckers and maybe source an unbutchered/unmodified loom and dash?

it COULD be worn bearings ie the clearences are too large and it takes a moment for the oil to take up the "gap" hence why the noise stops when the oil light goes off,unlikely you would spot metal fragments from the bearings in the oil by eye

a replacement R32 RB25DE manual cable will fit!

if the rest of the manifold is alloy and the pipe is steel then just glue the bugger in

its worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it

always keep in mind the po po have the upper hand! if they cant ping you for speeding they will yellow sticker you for empty washer bottle or worn windscreen wiper blades!

havnt heard of this problem but it sure must be annoying for you! are you refering to the pipe that the hose clamps to? if so and its the same material that the rest of the manifold is made of then you can get it welded on to the manifold otherwise you will need some metal glue from your local auto shop (easiest option and you wont need to take manifilod off))
