  1. just take you existing fuel tank out-clean out with caustic soda and refit, flush out lines as required
  2. take it to a public weighbridge and check the difference tween that and whats stated on your rego papers
  3. you can get that kind of power out of the 25 but you will need more than the bolt ons that you have listed,a full rebuild with high quality internals to start with and there is your driveline to consider. . .
  4. no, it doesnt need to be hooked up for a manual, only the black (?) one needs to be plugged in
  5. Nice play on words!
  6. i removed factory oil cooler off a R33RB25DET and used alloy oil filter block and pressure sender off a R32RB25DE, it bolts straight up. . . this enables me to use factory 32heater hoses/metal outlet-inlets on the 25 going into my 32
  7. IF he is refering to the tube thats running under the manifold it BOLTS onto the bottom of the inlet. . .he hasnt specified wether its a RB20 or RB25 (have taken it off my RB20 and blocked off feed from head)but they both bolt on, if that one is blocked up i would be suprised as they are of large internal diameter
  8. either that or buy a new hose
  9. check if O2 sensor is still working as it should as that can have a dramatic effect on fuel economy
  10. yes you need that second plug if you have an auto and need it to work as it should ie the ecu needs to have a signal from the TPS
  11. There will be an "arm" that the float is supposed to be attachted to. . . when i had this problem i just swapped in another fuel pump/cradle assembly as i couldnt confidently resecure to float and rely on it to stay put
  12. ditch it? why? leave it there unless its leaking
  13. Before you go to the trouble of ripping the dash etc out to get at the heater core, try backflushing the core out, i did it on my old 120Y and it came good again,i have 2X R31s and altho its a little hard to get at the heater inlet/outlets in the engine bay due to the proximity of the inlet manifold, its worth a go, PM if you need more guidance
  14. RB20 DET 8.5 to 1 CR RB25DET 9.0 to 1 CR
  15. Bad spelling aside. . . .suggest you get a working 34 stereo, place a WANTED TO BUY ad in this forum, im sure there is plenty of people who have pulled out their factory radio and replaced with an aftermarket unit
  16. Hi Lyndon, i asked the legality of TTs a while ago on this forum and was sent a link to the DPI website citing why they werent legal . . .dont quote me on this but it was something to do with leaving the car running while you werent in it (??)anyways whatever the legalities are the TTs arent needed with modern day turbos and as stated above dont fang the car for a few mins before turning it off (F&F style!)and it will be fine
  17. Could be any number of things, an auto electrician will sort it out for you
  18. RE4R01A is a 4 speed with overdrive not 3 speed. . .MV automatics in south aus is your best bet for upgraded trans components inc valve bodies etc. . .stronger RE4R01A trans can be found in Y31 cedrics/cimas but need a change of bell houses from VG to RB
  19. might be an out of adjustment (or non functioning/incorrect type)TPS
  20. Have used engine flush on many engines with NO problems with smoking or other issues to date
  21. I wouldnt bother with it . . .strictly speaking turbo timers arent legal for the street
  22. i sit corrected the brake fluid was the only fluid changed in my 34 (for compliance)when it was imported into Aus, the trans fluid hadnt been touched but smelt ok and is a cherry red colour, the engine oil was black so i flushed/changed that , the car came with a factory service manual but i cant read japanese!. . . also higher mileage cars MAY need the power steering fluid flushed/changed
  23. ^^only if you want a dead auto transmission! the fluid (at least in skylines) needs changing more frequently than every 200,000ks
  24. I doubt there would be an "off the shelf" 30/25 ready to go as everyone has there own slant as to comp ratio, piston type, restrictor size, bearing type/brand etc that they would put into thier engine,ie every 30/25 built is custom made
