  2. Hi guys, can anybody give me a location (preferably NOR ) for alloy rim repairs?(i know i can google but would prefer a business that someone here can vouch for) i have some gutter rash on my 34 GT-t sedan and it would really tidy it up if i got the rash fixed, also the car has the HICAS rear steering, where is the resouvoir for checking the fluid level, i thought it would be in the boot but im stuffed if i can find it and i dont want to damage the boot trim looking for it. any help appreciated thankyou
  3. splitfire have been around a long time and have a good rep, would recommend you spend the extra and use them
  4. dont be frightened about regrinding the crank. . . it may be reqd anyway and the reground crank can be renitrided. . . it all depends how much damage is done to it and the mechanic wont be 100% sure until he has pulled the donk out
  5. drill holes in the standard muffler and you will drive down the road sounding like a champion
  6. looks a hell of a lot like the VG30DET turbo ive got at home. . . . .whatever it might be just fit it to your motor and get it tuned to suit and enjoy
  7. if you havnt driven a powerful car before then be carefull. . . .many a driver has come unstuck (permanantly) when the ambitions are higher than the abilities, now that ive sounded off like your dad . . . go and buy a skyline an enjoy!
  8. ^^^thats an interesting question. . . .reshelling is a good idea but im curious as to how you would get around rego hassles, id say that taking the compliance plates/restamping (etc)off the old shell and putting it on the new shell in the backyard would quickly lead to gaol time
  9. Skylines are sports cars . . . . thats why roof racks ARENT cool on them, unless you have somewhere to wash the salt water off the boards then consider what the salt water will do to your car (any car at that)
  10. yes you would need new pipe, all you are going to get is a louder car that only SOUNDS like your going faster
  11. yeah Rustang! thats what i call me mates mustang (rust bucket that it is) everytime he bags out my skyline . . .he needs a V8 just to shift the fat bastard!
  12. i got mine at repco, no more expensive than run of the mill bearings, remember to give the bores a light hone before you install the rings , thats provided you can reuse the std pistons again
  13. where are ya in aus mate?
  14. there is a lot of hose running under the plenum. . . suggest you go to an auto parts store and get a mirror on a stick and a torch and you might be able to find the source of the leak
  15. Have seen some on unique cars for tween 20 and 30 thou, just like lines the price depends on spec and condition altho you get the rust/bog for free! . . . .just tell your mate to get himself a nice skyline and leave the rustangs for the bogans
  16. thanks for that Sunny, can you tell me any more about that kit? ive seen one on a very nice silver sedan last week in belmont (had been lowered / r34GTR wheels ,FMIC, custom number plates) and looking at putting one on my sedan
  17. the 33 and 34 auto trans are different models so while it might physically bolt up i reckon you will have problems getting it to work as it should
  18. Hi, seen a few R34s around with the word SKYLINE in the front bumper below where the license plate would sit(usually in a darker color), are these aftermarket bumpers or from a specific model line please?
  19. company called dynacorn sells the repro shells . . . .beware of non genuine parts as they are cheap for a reason. .ie poor fitment
  20. And if you need parts then you can gettem from the states direct as importers here seem to add alot to the price + 1 on the rust, if its around the front windscreen area then the panel below the windscreen will have to be cut out/repaired and that wilbe expensive in labour $$$(leaking screen may also mean rusted floorpans). . .a bloke at work is finding all this out the hard way
  21. Have checked with my mate at nissan and he has sent me some pics of both 32 and 33 manifolds, the gasket on both have the same part # but as i have both motor types at home i will check/swap and see if there is any fitting issues and take it from there
  22. Brendan please re read my question above^^^ , will your Manifold fit a R32 RB25DE (head only, to go on a RB30 bottom end)? i know it wont fit a RB20DE, smaller ports etc to a 25DET regards Steve
  23. Hey brendan, do you know if these manifolds will fit a R32 RB25DE head? using this head with a RB30 bottom end with a phat turbo hanging off the side and how much is the complete kit (plus postage)with adaptor for standard TB (NOT polished) to 6056 please?
  24. yeah definatley for a r34 as in the title of my post . . sounds like i wont be doing this as it looks to be a LOT of work and would explain why i havnt seen one on the road, thanks for the replies guys
