seeing as you already have the stock intake off the car you should be able to work out how its attached ,ive just looked at a stock R33 S1 25 intake that i have in my shed and its bolted to the manifold-coolant goes thru the manifold AND if ive looked at it properly (bit dark in there) , thru the idle air control
youve not given much info . . . does the stock pipe not fit? is it a pipe or hose that your after? if its a pipe that you require and the stocker dont fit then you need to contact the person/company that sold you the aftermarket manifold
it would be good if it was out soon on cars, you would be able to have the ecu read the octane of the fuel in the tank and adjust the CR too suit , , ,run anything from cats piss ULP to E85 (and anything in between)without having to lift a finger
the cams between the two heads wouldnt be different enough to make a difference to the ecu . . .just buy a complete RB25DE from SSS for around $750 plus freight and you get a warranty and no mashed pistons!by the time you have messed around swapping heads ($ gaskets) this is the easiest/cheapest/quickest solution for you
or just look on the japanese blue compliance plate on the firewall! if its a 5 speed it will read something like RE5R01A or RE4R01A if 4 speed auto . . .easy sorted
AFAIK there was a 5 speed auto available on NA R33s, . . but not many, the code for the auto/engine/rear axle assembly will be on the factory plate on the firewall . . .take a look
Saw an old mazda at traffic lights last week, he had a cable tie around one of the spokes on his hubcap and then thru the wheel . . . might not be able to do it with a 34 but maybe food for thought
this is true ^^, if this engine design makes it into regular production cars it will be interesting to see how durable it is compared to the current crop of engines, good to see some new devolopement coming out as there doesnt seem to be a lot going on with manufacturers (apart from hybrid tech) lately
didnt play the you tube vid as this computer seems to get viruses from you tube all the time ,VCR is old technology . . was reading about an old test engine used in TAFE,. . . .they could raise the compression of the engine by lifting the head closer/further away from the pistons, not sure how they did it but it was within the grasp of first year students
