  1. VERY nice looking car there linden, which import broker did you go thru and did you recieve good service?
  2. cheers for the heads up on the workshop that you have referred to above, i know the one you mean, you must of read my mind as im chasing a black R34 sedan ,grade 3.5 or better with wheels and maybe some light mods and looking to pay around ten thou, ive emailed iron chef (and others)as ive heard good things about them and will see how i go, im thinking the aus $ is strong at the moment compared to the Yen so i should snag a bargain especially as the 34 sedans arent highly sought after
  3. Thanks for the advice Rowan, will take it on board
  4. Dropped down a lot eh? good if you want a sedan like i do, not so good if your trying to sell! ive listed my email address with J-spec imports, just waiting to hear back from them, bank wants too lend me the $ to get a 34 sedan but wont give it too me unless i provide them with an invoice or receipt or something that proves im gunna use the $ to buy a car!
  5. Hi, i have a Y31 1989 nissan cima front X member for sale, comes with engine mounts, sway bar , steering rack and lines, 100 bucks or best offer ,also have intake manifold from the same car VG30DET c/w the two TBs and injectors, make an offer! contactable via PM or 0408 036 758 (steven) Perth thanks
  6. pull the cam out and take it to a cam grinder and they will have the means of measuring the lift and duration of your cam, from there you can work out if/how much you need to machine off the lifter cradle be aware that using old lifters is fraught with problems, if they arent matched up to the lobe that they were running on before then they can be noisy, always use new lifters with a new cam and buy good quality lifters, i made the mistake of getting cheap ones and the effing things didnt fit nicely in the lifter cradle
  7. thanks Chris, im guessing the sat nav wouldnt be much good here!
  8. Had a look at the aution sale history . . good stuff, anybody here know the difference tween the GT-T , GT-X and the GT-V ?
  9. Taint that hard, plenty of aluminium welders in this country!
  10. . . and the stuff keeps going up in price from nissan
  11. it only worth the maximum that someone is willing to pay for it
  12. Still chasing a good working unit, the one that i paid for had (old) water damage and is borked, so if you have a working unit minus water damage , pls PM
  13. i had a higher than standard lift/duration cam fitted to my R31 RB30E head, . . .not 100% sure as to why BUT the lifter cradles HAD to be machined to suit that cam, if you havnt had that done then that could be your problem
  14. caustic soda will clean it up, pressure cleaning wont get everywhere in a baffled tank ,done it with 2 tanks now on cars that have sat around for a few years and the grunge was so bad that it seized the pumps,if you have access to compressed air then do the lines(feed and return)and change the filter while the tank is out, you will need bout 300~400 grams of the stuff to do it properly , read safety instuctions carefully or you wilbe sorry, PM me if you would like more details
  15. ive got the engine on a stand so no worries for me there erik, def no fun doing that job with the engine in the car
  16. Thanks james, his mobile # is on his ad so will talk to him soon
  17. damn. . .ppl in WA seem to want a lot of $ for sedans here and ive seen some good ones advertised in the east for around $10,000 and less which is reasonable IMO, im not against paying for a good low k sedan if i can get it freighted (by train?) over here for a reasonable price, im not expecting too much from a sedan as its only for a kiddie hauler as the 32 coupe i have is not too roomy in the back
  18. Thanks Jon!
  19. Thanks jonno, any suggestions on how to get the auto bush out?
  20. depends on wether you want to use an internal or external feed, plenty of build threads on here for you to look at and make up your mind which way you want to go . . look at RB30 conversions above
  21. i will suss it out this loooong weekend but from the QUICK glance at the motor i had last night im gunna have to put the bush in. . .jonno do i use a socket/grease to install the bush?
  22. ageed. . . no offence intended to the owner but around $10K is a reasonable figure IMO
  23. um yeah thats a great ad on this site and have seen it before but looks like too much work and in need of a complete respray but more importantly it doesnt give me the specs i was asking for. . . love to know where all the sedans are on WA roads.i do a lot of driving for my job SOR and NOR (PERTH)and lucky to see one a day! was a nice white one fs on car sales for $10K but it was in NSW, Gum tree one looks good but once again it doesnt give me the info i was asking for
  24. i say i tried that with no luck . . .
  25. R34 sedans not very common over here in WA, i like the Y34 and i have 2 Y31s but aftermarket support is not nearly as good as skylines
