  1. What motor/what car? most likely be an engine out job i reckon. . . . and while you have the engine out it might be good preventive maintenance to replace all the other welsh plugs as well
  2. best ask the cam supplier that question
  3. leave it be unless clutch is being replaced where it is parked up atm
  4. a locksmith pulled a boot lock apart for me once before so he could "read the wafers" inside and cut a key to suit (bluebird) worked perfectly, might be an option for you
  5. sounds like your local nissan dealer is clueless. . . .if you give him the chassis number then he can use that to give you the key code, very useful when you dont have the original key like i did when i bought a 31 without any keys whatsover
  6. SSS automotive were advertising GTST-4 RB20DET's for around $1000- with warranty
  7. enjoy . . .they are a good car and good engine to work on. . .( similar in some ways to a RB30E) i rebuilt the 22re in my (now) ex wifes car,ran it on BP100,advanced the base ignition timing, threw on a set of extractors and it was right for another 200,000ks a nimble and economical car
  8. take it to a brake specialist, i dare say an ABS unit might be unrepairable by the average mechanic and as you have stated it is losing a lot of fluid=bent skyline
  9. does it have the 22RE in it?
  10. im sure they are available somewhere but why do you want them?standard steel core plugs will serve you fine and when used with the correct blend of ethyl glycol and soft water will last forever anyway
  11. sorry dad . . . just pointing out that carbs and turbos have been used together succesfully for many years to the point where sealed carbs can be ordered off the shelf (mainly for V8s tho)
  12. wildo, costing me enough as it is, dont want to risk phucking it up. .
  13. dont get me started on motorcycle riders . . . GRRRRRRRR
  14. Pretty sure its design is refered to as a HERON head
  15. a BLOW THRU carby set up has been used many times over the years, its a matter of sealing the carb up so it doesnt leak boost. . . .no fuel in the turbo that way . . .as for the L series L20B, lots of mods are easy to do on these motors including stroking using Z series parts
  16. does anyone know the CC (chamber) is for a 32 25DE head ? this one hasnt been faced at all, still has factory machine marks on the cams!
  17. bugger . . hope you had words with the builder, when i ve got my 25/30 together im making sure the tuner will have every scrap of info i can provide on the motors specs so i get the best tune possible, dont plan on spending the $ twice
  18. fair enough, will make sure chambers are cc'ed and everything else is checked before the pistons are ordered, just looking for a build where i have good off boost response by having a reasonably high CR, will be using a R32 RB25DE head on a series 3 R31 RB30E block and would rather buy the correct pistons without having to excessively machine the block and head
  19. thats the info im chasing, will print it off at work today, thanks Titan!
  20. of course your right, everybodys engine would have a slightly different CR, i remember reading on here (somewhere!) there was a piston that increased CR to over 9 to 1 (or more)that would fit in better with my intention to run E85
  21. its not his truck . . . thats why he doesnt G.A.F, but then again we have a small honda (5HP unleaded) engine that needed engine oil and he asked if he should use 2 stroke oil. . . face palm!
  22. does anybody have the part number for the (CP?) pistons that increase the CR up from normal the 8 point 3 to 1 (25/30)
  23. it will get better fuel economy . . .less cylinders to run! one guy i know at work will ONLY put oil in truck engine(mazda T4000) when the oil pressure light comes on . . .
