  1. rotaries dont suck at all. . .mazda has been producing them for 40 odd years and sold millions of them worldwide, must be doing something right
  2. clean it when then engine is nice n warm
  3. even more fun if you still have the HICAS taking up space in the engine bay,there was no way i was going to get it out past the engine from underneath, i was able to get it out behind the intake manifold near the brake booster
  4. if the factory radiator is in the car then there is a tap on the bottom tank, undo that as it can be easier than some hose clamps
  5. what car is the 20 in? if its a 32 then its a prick of a job, i got mine out past the intake manifold with every hose clamp on the way trying to scratch the crap outta me
  6. ive confirmed that number is correct, look on the back of the TPS and you can see the number on the metal part of it (if its OEM)
  7. you can use an over the counter radiator flush and run that thru your cooling system and then use the garden hose to clean it out, when i do that i then run rain water thru the cooling system to get rid of the corrosive hard water thats now in your cooling system, remember to turn on your heater in the car to get flush the core

  9. remember turbo powered cars economy is largely affected by the right foot. . .ive found i get better economy outta my RB20DET (with some redline thrashing) than i ever got with my VG30E
  10. oh. . . youve obviously looked on the TPS itself for a number?if you have and it isnt there then i will ring nissan monday morning and chase down that number for you
  11. too many variables will affect how good a high k (or low k) 26 will be, like any used vehicle you may get lucky or you may have to open your wallet as soon as you get the car into your driveway
  12. have you tried your local nissan spare parts guy?ive found that they can be very helpfull
  13. S1 has ignitor on back of the coil cover S2 doesnt (in ECU) coils are diffrent tween the two
  14. maybe you had better have a chat with them then, but get it (the problem) in writing from the tuner shop first
  15. howdy, where in perth would i get a new flex plate for my RB30E (R31) auto with RE4R01A? OR is it possible to reverse the ring gear on these?
  16. have a look at JUST JAP, they seem to have a lot of OEM parts. . . doesnt mean that you will gettem cheaper than NISSAN tho, ive compared prices and they are close to nissan anyways

  19. could cost anything up to $1000 depending on price of parts etc to rebuild your (what make?)compressor

  21. the angle of the tip out the back can make a huge difference, angle it down towards the road
  22. looks similar to a RB30E setup, have you tried the like of coventrys or similar? im sure the 25DET is common enough that someone would have one
  23. im suprised the mechanic flushed the cooling system without putting a filter in the top hose , get a good secondhand head, get it checked and put that on, also if the engine overheated badly then you may want to get the compression tested
