  3. hi, can any one tell me the colour and paint code of factory R32 GTR wheels please( as shown on page 55 pic one, P.I # 138)? my GTST wheels need a repaint so i thought i would go different to the factory silver, thankyou
  4. yep, they are the same, i got a set of R33 GTS25T F&R brakes for my R32GTST . . .only needed to swap the fronts as the rears were the same size
  5. dont count on it being that way for much longer. . .usually what happens in the east makes it way here to W.A (aka Wait Awhile) eventually
  6. + 1 on all the above ,. . i tried to sell a gearbox on ebay and got the same bullshit scammers. . just tell them to eff off, they will soon get the hint
  7. depends what you are aiming for . . IMO chuck in a RB20DET and auto . . easy and quick
  8. At least it looks like the damage is mostly to bits n pieces that can be be unbolted and replaced. . . no chassis/steering/underbody damage?
  9. it might and it might not, you probably need the two units side by side and compare
  10. cos water runs down hill (!)
  11. Can you borrow an (or have a spare) alternator and try that? it wouldnt take long to swap them out or ,as stated above, take it to an auto electrician who have multimeters and all the testing gear that you could think of
  12. the engineers may have opted for 8.5:1 to suit the fuel octane available at the time
  13. get a compression test and other tests done to determine if youve killed the motor, these will reveal if youve done the HG or cooked (lose the tension) the rings, if thats all good then just change your water pump and put a timing belt kit in it if its due(while things are apart)an oil + filter change might be needed as the oil wouldve got very hot and fix the guage
  14. None of the above should be an issue as the car will be unregistered and SHOULD be okay for you too purchase , only hassle you might have is if the car has money owing on it, a call to the REVs office will sort that out and for a small fee they can send you a report, IF you have any doubts then VIC ROADS is a phone call away
  15. be carefull using too much sealant on your sump as the last thing you want is for it to drop inside the sump and block your oil pickup
  16. job done, good service, only cost me $110
  17. could be broken engine mount and/or gearbox mount, too hard to diagnose over the computer, can you get it on a hoist and have a look? should be easy too spot then
  18. becarefull about cutting the bonnet for vents etc as it it can weaken the bonnet and if you cut through the bracing on the underside it can lead to a defect notice
  19. as stated above our laws here are vague and open to interpretation and how the coppers are feeling on the day they pull you up, suggest you paint the whole of the wing the same colour as the car (make sure the brake light works) as different colour panels/parts stick out like dogs gonads
  20. ha! did exactly the same thing on my 32. . .thought i had killed the motor, there is a screwdriver in the car 24/7 now
  21. try your local nissan dealer for a price, if its the original engine in your car then givem your chassis number and they should find one for you but be prepared for price shock, alternatively take your TPS to an automotive electronics place as yours might be repairable
