hi guys,looking at a towie to pick up my car from belmont and bringing it back to my house in midland, can anyone here recommend someone reliable/carefull?or maybe a towie is reading this? was gunna hire a car trailer but CBF and it usually works out to cost more than a tow truck anyway,if anyone is interested then PM me thanks

sounds like the fuel hose might be leaking. . . take it to a mechanic for a quote if you cant fix it yourself

if its an electric fan that is missing then it will be for your air conditioner me thinks

Im a line marker in WA and we use a small amount of enamel thinners on a rag to get any linemarking paint off things,this is assuming the QLD paint is waterbourne, our roads just as borked as yours, we call it a DULUX REASEAL when we repaint shattered roads!

If i had corrosion on an engine like that i would throw on a new pump/thermostat and welshplugs. . .they might look fine from the outside and easier to change while the motor is out

my cousins son was looking at getting a half cut S14 SR20DET at jap performance place in ossie park to install in his NA auto S13, they quoted $3000 for the half cut and $2500 to install, i know that its not a 25DET but gives you an idea of what your up for, remember japan is not pumping out any new 25s anymore and demand is quite high

^ Thats what i was gonna say,im sure on top of re nitriding there is also cryogenic treatment that will strengthen the crank far beyond factory specs,new cranks are fricken expensive and then you have to piss fart around getting bearings for them? . . pass

Hi, more curious than anything but has anyone reading this fitted a floor brace to there 32? have seen them on ebay and wondering if they do anything or are they a wank?

Why not? surely there must be a shitload of RB engines out there that are running reground cranks?

Probably not worth wasting ya bucks on but they do make it sound like youre going faster!

If your concerned about bearing clearences being incorrect may i suggest getting the new crank ground to the nearest oversize and buying acl bearings to suit?

did he take down the engine number?did ya go to the pits at welshpool or midland? asking cos im looking at doing this myself and wanna deal with a reasonable inspector(not the sub human ones out there)

what motor have ya got? a 25DE? 20DE? 20E?at the end of the day its probably not that important, if its legal in your state then chuck a pod on it and add a shroud so its not sucking hot engine bay air

Tried that and Chris txt me back saying that his phone wasnt able to open the pic i sent him (or something similar to that effect)

does your line have anti intrusion bars welded on the inside of the doors? if so then that could be the problem, they were loose in my 31 where the spot welds had let go (rusted)and allowed the bar to flap around

could have burst a rack seal but that shouldnt cause the groaning that your getting, rain is easing sunday so suggest you chuck the car on some ramps and have a look underneath ,if you have any doubt bout possible steering damage then piss it off and fit another rack

dont have a digital camera to take/post pics. . . maybe someone has a stock radio they can post pics of so that i can compare the two please?
