the guy that im taking it to is the local microtech dude so im hoping he can sort it out then tune it hopefully wont cost me a body part to fix it up

hiper cost me 3 hundy, was a catback for an s13 but i just chopped off the tail bit and kept the muffler, got it off silviansw forums oddly enough.

yeah sounds like a rex, im thinking 'hmm somethings wrong here'... anyways will get it dyno tuned so those dudes can sort it out. exhaust is - 3inch dump/front - vl cat(which will make way for a replacement pipe after engineers), catback 3inch w/1 resonator, hks hiper muff, 3" in, 4 1/2 out - go the milo tin!

yeah bit of a problem - got everything hooked up bar the PS, taken it for a spin and it doesnt seem to want to go over 2k rpm gets to about 2 grand then just wont go over, sh!ts itself till i back off. does it in all gears checked the microtech handset, reads upto about 4-5 psi by about 2k rpm before it craps out, but theres no warnings coming up or anything. its like its in limp home mode or something any ideas people cause its sh!tting me hard. side note - sounds like its running less a cylinder or two so im thinking coils/leads etc..??

R30gtN/A - dont know whether i'll be flamed for this...but i like it. would be very menacing i reckon, it is turbo isnt it? im hoping to get another 30 shell and cram an rb26 in there with custom everything btw cooler is done, pics will be up soon..ish

currently 3inch dump/front. will be getting made from cat back (using vl cat till its roadworthy) 3inch cat back, res, cannon mofo. catback i got quoted less than 160 using my muffler

nothing yet. ive got a gtr cooler going in just had to get it going before i get my cooler dude to mount it all up. actually i sized it up....is gunna take some cutting to get it to fit but will work/look the goods

some friggin microtech thing mtx-8 coils. will take a pic for ya cause i got no clue anymore

i got the coil packs mounted on the firewall, seems to be ample length to connect any to where ever ya wanted.

question - for the firing order on an rb20, how do i run the leads to the coil packs. is it sparky one to coil one, s2 to coil 2 etc... or is it sparky 1 to coil one, sparky 2 to coil 5, sparky 3 to coil 3??? assuming the firing order to be 1-5-3-6-2-4 if anyone understands what im rambling about

well when i mounted my vg30 i had to 'tweak' the oil line , cant remember which one cause it was hitting something. as for the tacho yeah i read somewhere (very specific arent i) that u need to put a resistor in somewhere to alter the signal may have been PF...."how to recalibrate r31 speedo" or sumthin

looking at 3 hundy for the vg30 turbo. bought it looking for big power....no just want to get my shitbox going so need the cash nothing wrong with it, even went to the trouble of buying new banjo bolts for it. i mounted it up to my manifold, fitted like a franger, didnt have the right outlet elbow tho pm me if anyone is interested. as for the workshop manual its ok im going to buy one to sort it all out, thanks tho.

hmmm no go on the sensor thing...thinking the timing is out hoping anyways.... anyone got a workshop manual for an rb20? oh and anyone wanna buy a vg30 turbo....?

rsx - will check the wiring, hopefully it is the only thing wrong wif it.

problems - got it all wired up, she cranks, sounds like its about to kick over...then just keeps crankin its got spark and fuel...timing perharps? just about ready to set it on fire ...

got pics but someone will have to host tips - check over everything...check again and recheck... not much help..

oh and Ant get in contact with greenline or one of those import dudes im sure they would be able to track down aftermarke pulleys for an fj

got it all wired up bar the rpm... my dad knows whats goin on so hes helping me (read : doing most of it) to wire it up what do u need to know about the 25 i may be of assistance....or hinderance. what has everyone done in respect to cooler piping?? i mean if your using a f*ck off big frontmont then are u running the "cooler to TB" pipe over the radiator or under? if u get what i mean? maybe not.

ghostrider - sent you an email bout your limited run front bar, im keen sydney r30 owners should meet up one day for a cruise, would be mad.

ghostrider - i'll be keeping the rb under 8 grand, prolly a lot less for most driving. so your saying the jap tachos can be made to work? feed me some info on yours and what the go is ....cause i want one. Anyone actually bought some of that Jenesis gear?
