  1. my intention was to sell the r35 when the r36 is released.... looks like I'll be hanging onto this car for a while then we'll know for certain by about mid year to see if they start working on a 2013 (US 2014) if true, may even look at buying a 100% stock spec v out of japan for the collection

  4. congrats on the g i drove one last month (non-amg), along with a few other 4wds, but all were a bit too ott for me - i bought and sold an RR Vogue Supercharged within a few weeks because the body roll was really unnerving and had this weird driving position where i felt i was sliding forward out of the seat when braking and turning i ended up going with a 12 FJ, surprisingly little body roll, and this way i wont be too upset when i hit the rocks and come away with bruises - first time doing the whole off -road thing
  5. oooo that's a spicey meatball im still on the fence whether to take the next step and swap out the turbos, but will keep an eye out for any used spec-v's that hit the net re parts, also check out yahoo japan auctions for anything you're missing, there's so much cheap used oem parts on there
  6. those are great numbers at 19psi would be really keen to run my car on same dyno to see what kinda gains i could expect with similar turbos - what was the cost of the spec v turbos? ouch bad luck with the accident - though from the vid it didnt look eric bana bad. what's needed for the repair?

  8. there are more issues to deal with than just the outdated rules for these official off-street events what about the guys who get reamed by the police waiting outside the gates for when they leave at night..... seen this happen every time ive attended also isn't there new laws now in NSW about modifiying cars to begin with? vbox and a private road... sometimes it's better to fly under the radar
  9. I didn't think so, a little if you labour the engine in 6th below 2000rpm If you can pick up in north melb 350 will do It's 2 pieces so will fit in any boot - milltek do it in 2 pieces so you can swap out the rear section for resonated and vice versa
  10. i have a milltek non-resonated midpipe resonated on oem muffler and oem catted downpipes will be too timid

  15. hahaha i still have no idea how willall's guys got my Top Secret inlet pipes in the car - and they're a bit wider than the 2011 oem as well can you give me dates for the mt baw baw sprint - is it going to be a spectator event? id like to come have a look

  19. definitely not a 2011build, it has the same body as the 08/09/10 that particular car is the base jdm model with the grey roof lining and all black seats.... coincidentally what Nissan aus now import for 2011 to minimize the price increases a few of us downunder have the zele parts now, best looking exterior add-ons for the GTR imo.
  20. that's definitely not a 2011 BUILT car from what i understand of the grey imports, that must have gotten registered in Aus before Nissan Aus started selling them so that'd make it most likely a 2008 or early 2009 build car that was just parked and not driven much???? ....or could be he lived in Japan and brought it back ??? either way i wouldn't buy a JDM, the japanese buttons and characters on the screen would drive me crazy
  21. remember guys the reco is trans fluid should be replaced if temp goes above 120 (or is it 130) - that's a good 1k via the dealer, few hundred less going aftermarket

  23. correct gtr fluid maintenance after each outing? sure if he/she has deep pockets mechanically? faster degradation of components, you don't replace clutches, diffs, box's, suspension bushes at a dealer service visually? stone chips and gravel rash everywhere, very tired looking i get invited to alot of manufacture track days from all the big brands, and these brand new cars always look trashed after a few days. i always think to myself who's going to buy them
  24. the depreciation of the gtr isnt only to do with the car, but more to do with the current luxury (read high priced) used car market look at what you can buy E92 M3s for now......well under 100k and they were in the same 180k+ bracket new as well i do agree tracked examples always go for far less. if i was buying a gtr to track, id buy a used one for sure
