downloaded my performance box data - so i don't think the rumours about incorrect trap speed at heathcote are true afterall Time 04:01 Date 03/02/2013 Accel results Speed(kmh) Time(s) 0-60 01.6 0-100 03.0 Accel Distance results Distance(m) Time(s) @Speed(kmh) 0-400 10.9 207.5 User range Speed(kmh) Time(s) 100-200 07.1 60-120 02.5 0-100-0 ---- Misc Vmax 212.8kmh Vavg 31.7kmh AvgLatG -0.02G PkLatG 0.47G PkAccelG 1.10G PkDecelG 0.71G

i daily drive on 21" yokohama advans and have put my tpms in those - you can only pair one set of tpms at a time i have used my stock wheels for some interstate road trips but the ride quality is so harsh on those runflats, especially coarse bitumen, i prefer to run the risk of a puncture and just carry a repair kit in my boot whatever rim width and tyre size you go for, try to keep the rolling diameter same as stock, otherwise same percentage front to back (you dont want to go any further than 2-3% out). and yes, further the rolling diameter is out, the more your speedo will be out

went to heathcote with a few other r35s was a hot and very busy day, only managed 2 runs as the wait was well over an hour - unfortunately with calder closing, this is going to be the norm, and may even get worse track temp was in mid 30s and intake temps in the mid 70s waiting in the que with aircon on ran a 10.9 in full auto RRR with LC4 @3200rpm. traction light was blinking through 2nd and 3rd but i didn't really feel the acceleration slow. if i had another run i would have run with traction off, or even tried uploading lc5 for a higher launch rpm. still not a bad result given i was on 21" yokohama advan street tyres - enough to pip the trailored in tub'd vk drag car next to me lol will be keen to go back in the cooler months, and possibly a bigger cooler by then ignore trap speed, i lucked out with getting the right hand lane which apparently is off. should be in the low 130's i believe first r35 in Aus to officially run a 10 with 21" street tyres?

its a turned brushed finish, not chrome yeh direct swap of oem plastic
-
some interior bling - cyberstork hvac knobs love the weight/feel of real metal instead of the cheap oem plastic

so Kev i take it the trans install went smooth and you're back on the road now? let us know after you've driven the car if/how the driveability has changed and if there are any additional noises
-
surely if you're that worried about maintenance on your future r35 purchase, you need to have a long hard think about spending another 2 years trolling a different car forum
-
what do you need to remove from under the car before you can drop the rear subframe like that?

good spot, always great to have a recommendation when it comes to vehicle moving - every car ive received through ceva has had some issue
-
hope you can make it to Heathcote Kev seeing what you can run with mod'd turbos vs my full bolt on stock turbo same day same track will be a great comparison for everyone (including myself) who is on the fence whether to take that next step great opportunity to upgrade the trans - im still on the fence whether to do this as preventative or wait till something goes wrong

high costs to comply with new japanese emissions killed the r34 i'm sure if nissan could have continued to get a return on their r&d investment, they would have there's nothing wrong with the r35 platform, it just needs a cosmetic freshen up mainly, new front end, new rear bumper treatment, new headlights with integrated leds, new dash layout.....and spec v turbos!!
-
Wow that sounds very interesting.....any pics? The hr with the twin throttle bodies is a good engine

how's your r35 purchase coming along Kenny? lol @ my first page comments on buying drums of e85 and daily driving on 98 been daily driving on e85 since i got the car back (with the occasional interstate road trip on 98), and now likewise my evo x, thanks to the awesome pump e85 rollout of united here in Melb and their QLD refinery turning sorghum grains into super cheap go fast goodness

just finished up a paint correction with my mate Dan who is a pro detailer - idea was with both of us working at same time we'd get through it a lot quicker, but we soon decided to go all out, and 3 days later..... protected with opticoat 2.0 which should offer some much needed scratch resistance for this solid black paint and super soft clear
-
i couldn't get enough clearance on my apartment driveway, otherwise id have painted and fitted fo sho
-
Fit is fine, my body shop drilled all the holes in the lip when dry fitting Pm your email address and I'll send you the dry fit pics
-
Bump on limp My panel shop is back at work and I really need this out of their storage Make me an offer
-
i have nothing to package it in, otherwise i would have someone pick it up
-
bump! i now have the carbon air scoops that sit under the front discs (but not the tubing - generic part anyway) will throw these in with the sale natch
-
welcome, mod list looks great you won't need aftermarket turbos to crack 550awhp, you can achieve that quite easily on stock turbos with e85 but you would need them to comfortably crack a mid 10 1/4 on r compound/stock tyres id be very cautious about buying american mod'd stock frame turbos, despite the allure of great pricing. willall racing in SA offer a similar high flow oem turbo with added benefit of local support and proven reliability
