  2. thanks guys im gna hav a crack at it tommorow after work also i jus realised tonite its not to bad at all when its cold.. as temp gauge goes up it gets worse amd worse.. makes me think cylinder seals?
  3. update the problem has been getting worse over the last month or 2.... and today ive been barely able to get into 1st... had to do some 2nd gear starts... and also the clutch has lost alot of pressure,. ie. i dont hav to use as much force on it.. btw thanks for the input Dobz... but just before i go and dismember my salve cyl id like to hear other peoples idea's and or agreeance.. it does feel astho if i could push the clutch through the firewall it would let me move gears easier tho.. is there a way to adjust how much the pedal moves/pivots? to give me that extra leeway.. also havnt bled the lines yet.. didnt think it would be neccesary as i see no evidence of leaks and how would air get in there otherwise? :S am i wrong :| :S also read that twin plate brass buttons wear quite quickly too.. when i got the car it took me a long time to learn how to drive again -__- could it just be effed?
  4. when i did this, only on crossover pipe... i covered it with duct tape first, to make it a little easier if i ever want to remove the flashtac, however mine has started to melt the tar on the bend of the pipe... fyi

Hey there so as title says im having trouble working out whats wrong.. with what part haha firstly when i had my car rwc'd a few months ago mechanic told me that engine mount had a crack and should be replaced.. (have not done it yet as its looking like an all-dayer, and had a look through the FYI section and only found one for replacing on a silvia... which is a hell of a lot easier) so does anyone have any tips on this one? now box/clutch, when changing down thru gears its hard to get it into the gear.. mainly in 4,3,2 but if im not applying the brakes it is easier... :S very confusion.. when taking off in first, and then stoping again in first (eg at a busy traffic lights) i cannot get it out of first with the brake on (i have to slow down, realease brake, then go back to neutral... cannot just stop with clutch in and in first.. its astho the clutch just doesnt release) and when it does release it makes a big clu-dunk sometimes and still needs a good yank to get it out my clutch is a twin plate brass button, and it doesnt feel like it is anymore... (when taking off in first i can ride it a fair bit.. it used to just be on/off.. also i have checked clutch lines, i havnt lost any fluid, and there isnt any evidence of fluid along the lines from mast down to slave.. so first question could the engine mount be causing me troubles if its cracked all the way thru,, ie made everything out not line up right? could my clutch just be worn and need replacing? do i have a problem with my box? does it sound like clutch bracket? have read something about it but no idea whr it is /what it looks like :S anyone else had this problem? thanks i really need to get ontop of this and my pet hate is getting a mechanic to do it.. hahaha all feedback apreciated thanks Simon G
  6. wow this ones taking off.. haha i didnt have the intention of lowering pressure just wanted to know if it actually worked like that aswell lol atm i was just guna have it in there running on standard pressure til it needed to be adjusted.. also this was 90$ injectors are not gunna be good for my bank account atm.. thanks for the feedback everyone :|
  7. at what power level will my fuel system be restictive to power curve/gains? walbro in tank and stock injectors, as im planning for a gt35, im sure i read on here of someones build being restricted by fuel system at 260rwkw... currently on 230ish and aparently i dont no how to post w/ quotes haha hey andrew hows it goin? sounds good mate just have to find the time working 2 jobs now, and fulltime girlfriend... haha

  9. +1 for fuses, check em all while your there can only be helpful i have te same problem with int light but only doesnt work on driver side door.. kinda annoying haha middle fan thing? what do u mean exactly? pic mite help
  10. heya recently bought a nismo fpr for my rb25det does anyone know about putting it on 1. does the fuel have to be manually primed through it? 2. will my car need to be tuned to the adjusted fuel pressure? i had a good search around the forums and didnt find anything on topic if there is one set me up with a link ta simon g

  12. i have and r32 with a rb25det and until recently i thougjt it was from a 33.. but it has one of the 442 oilfilters i noticed wen changing oil.. does anyone know if the 33's had one of those? 1998 is the year they started using the 442 i believe... ta simon
  13. sounds like when the siccor arm is fully extended its loosing grip then the weight of the glass is forcing it back down... does it glide down or just drop? my sugestion wuld be to feel around for any loose bolts around the siccor arm..
  14. im pretty sure my ac just blows air(neither hot or cold, but as engine heats up it goes warm to hot understandibly as i noticed an ac pipe runs less than 10cm away from the belly of my turbo) i came up with 23, 24, 25 on diag test.. i knew about th water temp as my gauge says nothing all the time.. but what are the other 2? is it just simpls enuf as replacing them and my aircon works? :S also i havent done any of the other checks as yet thanks in advance!

  17. hiya just wondering if anyone knows how i can find out which model my rb25det is from ino its from a 1998 and uses a 442 oil filter as opposed to the pre 98's which take 145a i bought my r33 with engine already in it thanks! simon g
