  1. Let me guess... either the kid's not really understanding what he really wants or he's REALLY into getting a N/A MK4, then drop a 2jz-gte into it. Hey kid! If you're still sticking around, maybe you wanna confirm my suspicions?
  2. Signed. Though I don't see the need to lower my ride by 50mm, it doesn't mean some wankers can ban something just like that just because they think they can and they want to without proper logic. Politicians piss me off big time. Arrogant pricks!
  3. Hi all. Once again I have a noob question. Just bought some paint for painting my body kit, but I forgot to ask the paint shop guy if it was 2 pak or acrylic. How do I tell if the paint is a 2k or acrylic? The guy gave me a massive 4L tin of thinner to go with the paint and the clear coat, but no hardener and told me to go 50:50 for the paint:thinner and 3:2 for thinner:clear coat., but no hardener. So I reckon it's an acrylic?
  4. So i assume that smooth as is acceptable?
  5. Hi all. Got a question about sanding back paint primers. I know this has been covered in many topics before, but none has the straight clear answer I need. I'm priming a bodykit set to prepare it for painting and I've read that the primer needs to be sanded before the paint goes on. How much does it need to be sanded back exactly to be considered as perfect and ready? Does it need to be sanded till it's real smooth or just a brief sand will do? Thanks guys for any answer.
  6. I thought Trust's front bar was designed FOR the R33..... either this isn't true or the lady has no idea what's she's bullshitting about, which I would lean towards the latter more.
  7. You're back from Singapore. Welcome back!
  8. hi all. I know it's a stupid request, but just wondering if anyone has a spare set of spoiler nuts for a R33? Was fixing on my old S1 spoiler back on today and one of the spoiler's bolts snapped off while I was tightening the nut on and now I have a broken bolt with a nut stuck on it with no way to seperate them. If anyone can sell me a set or anyone can point me to the right direction to get a set, it'll be most appreciated. Thanks all!
  9. Where you get the quote from? Looking to fit a new front bar and sideskirts and one panel place quoted me about $360 max for fitting only. Trying to get more quotes.
  10. Me looking for an answer as well. Not sure if polishes for brass, metals or chromes in auto shops will work. Yet to try them, but will let you know if I do. But don't think spraying will work as it'll probably either fade off or get oxidised as well, which defeats the purpose.
  11. Many of the guys in here will probably recommend DT Panels or Jetspeed. I haven't tried any yet, so no comments for them. Maybe trying doing a search for DT Panels in here to check out opinions about the workshop. Price wise, most are pretty happy with DT's charges.
  12. Thank you all for the info.
  13. Hi guys. Noob question here. I understand that the 5000km service has to be done on schedule and it's normally scheduled at every 6 months by default. But due to my workplace being real close to home, I only drive 5000km in a year. Is it advisable for me to stick to the 6 month deadline even though it hasn't done enough kms yet or wait for it to do 5000km before I do the service? Anyone has an idea what might go wrong if I were to wait till the car comes to the 5000km mark after a year's time? btw, the car is a R33 gtst S1.
  14. The new face seems to resemble alot to Hardtuned.net's. But gives a fresh feeling.
  15. You after one for 33 or 34? I've got one as well, for R33 though. I'm in the SE subs.
  16. Just got them off another forummer and had them installed. Thanks for all of your replies! Appreciate it.

    Federals?

IMHO, I do agree that good tyres and shit tyres do have a difference between them. They're just like a pair of shit soled runners and a pair of high grip soled runners. Although the high grip runners will offer a good grip in all weather running, it doesn't mean you can go sprinting like a mad man in the wet because a reduced friction on the grounds is a dead set fact and the risk of slipping will always be there. Similarly, regardless good or shit tyres, having super grip tyres doesn't give you the reason to become careless in the wet where a loss of traction will always remain a threat the driver. For me, I'll be taking 100% care in the dry and 150% in the wet, regardless of the tyres I have.
  18. Check the HICAS tie rod ends or ball joints.
  19. I second that. Ease off the throttle a little more and granny drive more in the wet regardless of what tyres you run in. Wet = less traction, less traction = less control in an emergency. I throttled harder than normal at the lights once in the wet and my wheels lost traction. I eased off, grannied for the rest of the trip and all was fine again.
  20. If I remember right, I think either Autobarn or Repco sells it.
  21. Bump. Need these stuff gone to clear for space.
  22. If people aren't giving the answer you're after, maybe repeat it in another simpler way and not belt them down for it. You don't like being called a smart arse, so why put people down for giving you the wrong answers in the first place? It's true that there're plenty of smart dicks around whose ultimate ambition in here seems to be to try crushing people with their "voluminous" knowledge. But at the same time, I'm sure you can tell the diff between someone just giving the wrong answer in a nice manner and someone giving the right answer like a Gillard-vs-Abbott. Anyway, we're all here to seek, learn and share, so let's all be nice to each other, shall we?
  23. This man has issues. Someone do something.....
