  1. the popular saying "don't buy what you can't afford to repair...":uh-huh: actually thinking about this further...i'm not sure if i want to own another skyline just because if it's a GTR.....right now i'm strangely attracted to the FD RX-7s;)
  2. Hi guys. I’m asking about your opinions about a matter I’m sure many of us will face. There’s no denying that the GTR is largely responsible for the popularity of the Skyline model in general. And I might add that many of us have started out with GTS’s or GTSt’s, with more hoping one day to own a GTR ourselves(or at least a sizable number of the members here?) Here’s the problem, how many of you along the way in the midst of modifying your Skylines asked “When should I stop?” Maybe the fellas here who have switched from a GTSt to GTR may be better suited to give their opinions on this one. And here’s a question even more relevant to the GTSt owners who have gone the way of forged internals/high mount turbos etc etc. Has any of you at any stage still thought of getting a GTR since? Or how many of you have heard comments like “For the amount of money you’re better off getting a GTR mate”? I know I have:( But the cold hard truth is, calculated cost of mods to a GTSt to get it up to run times(I’m just using the ¼ mile run as an example) equivalent to what a GTR can do….it really adds up… So how many of you here you self-consciously limit yourself when it comes to modding your Skyline?(it’s hard isn’t it?) Somehow I think if I were to go all out to mod my GTSt now, I would never sell it…just such a waste when people put down your price with comments like “it’s no GTR”or “I could’ve gotten a GTR with that amount of cash” Your comments? :shake:
  3. does the ex.temp gauge come with the sensor probe? ie, everything you need to get the gauge reading properly?
  4. I'll still go for the R34 GTR:bahaha:
  5. i wouldn't consider that rice..... 'RICE' has lost it's meaning nowadays....it's like the newest catchphrase for anyone who wants to bag out some1 else's car.... For me...'RICE' is not rice if you've got the hardware to back it up... "Let your wastegate do the talking":burnout:
  6. maybe the nozzle is stuffed...

  11. there's really an easier way guys....just pop your bonnet and have a look.......look for the ABS module similar to the one cobo_11 posted...it'll be in the upper right corner of the engine bay:D
  12. go Takakaira, there's a brand called 'ATTAIN' that makes an adaptor thingy that you can plumb into your stock bov and supposedly make the 'pssshht' sounds of the aftermarket ones.... have a lookie here: -------------------------------------------- http://www.takakaira.com/asp/template.asp?...OPpLmMmhjIkgnJi --------------------------------------------

  14. this should throw out any prior misconceptions of the tolerances of the RB25's internals right out the window......and also what we have come to think about the standard injector's duty cycle:burnout: good one:D
  15. tried to PM you Rezz but seems like your PM box is full. Let me know about the details if possible(PM). ie, how many ones are there in the H1 range, color/and Kelvin ratings etc etc....
  16. i don't think the site is hotlink-friendly
  17. not the best for a standard turbo aye?
  18. the white one with the tribal designs? It belongs to the brother of Gary(owner of Cypher). There was another white GT-R waiting for it's turn.....done by XSpeed with HKS internals i heard.....
  19. it's basically a mix of Series1 and Series2 parts....a hybrid of sorts during the transition of the S1(till 95) to the S2(96)..... However I've heard some mention that it's got the best ECU out of both or something......
  20. Yours might be a Series 1 or 1.5 judging from the year....you've got a S2 rear wing though... Try looking at the center caps of your rims to see if it has anything remotely english sounding like a brand or something..... enjoy your Skyline
  21. i once saw a best motoring clip where an R33 GT-R and a JZA80 Supra(by Veilside i think) had a run. From 0-400m the GT-R won....but after that....they continued on to the 1000m mark and the Supra nudged out the GT-R.
  22. JDM has rear wipers.
  23. question is how long before the box breaks?
  24. white series 1 with type-m bumper? is there a magna with huge rims there too?
