What oil would people suggest using in the standard diff? Or at least what is the standard oil? Also, how much does the standard diff take? Cheers

Hi all, I've done a bit of searching but can't find much that is R34 specific with diffs. Apologies if something similar has been covered before... I've recently started having troubles with my diff and have been looking for what replacement options there are. I am going to change my diff oil first just to rule out that, I don't know when it was last changed and the car has 150k kms on it so I'm hoping there is nothing major wrong and this will help. But looking at the worst case, I am thinking of getting either a 1.5 way or a 2 way. Can anyone point in the right direction or where to get some pricing and good places to buy from? I will most likely buy online, and have fitted professionally locally. The main brands I see around are Kaaz, Nismo and OS Giken. What would the best brand be to look at? The car is a weekend warrior (that I'm hoping to take to the track eventually), so I'm not concerned about daily annoyances that a 2 way diff may give me. But I'm open to pros/cons about which way to go. Thanks for all help Tim

Just for those who might come along later reading this as I did. I just purchased Rota DPT's in 18x9.5 +22 .. They have 235/40R18 tyres on them so a little stretch and they clear fine (98 R34 GTT). The front wheels appear to sit about 1.5-2cm out but the tyre fits the guards easily. The rears sit maybe 1cm if that out so tyre clearance is even better there. Only suspension mod is King Springs. I rolled the rear guards in anticipation but definitely not needed Tim

great build thread! i live in dubbo and remember checking this out when the toyota nationals were here. must say i have a lot more respect for it after going through this build thread haha. i definitely didnt notice how wide the back tyres were though!!

i bought this last week. was surprised to see it was only $15 on steam. not bad for gameplay. i think the skins need to be updated (t's and ct's are hard to tell apart) and the buy menu is definitely console oriented now. bit annoying that they changed the shortcut keys for a couple of things. still good fun though. havent played cs for the last year or 2 lol

Hi guys, I'm posting my Autech up which I have owned for 19-20 months. I have recently bought a daily and am preparing to buy a project car to start before getting off my P's. I'm not in a rush to sell but I figured I would put it up and see what people said. This car has been a joy to own and the only problem I have had during ownership was a wheel bearing about a month after buying it. Is a very fun car to own while on your P's and has surprisingly not copped much attention from the authorities. A couple hundred km's short of 92,000km's. Standard blue paint, in good condition. Polished and waxed every 5-6 months. There are a few stone chips on the front bar from when it was my daily. Debadged except for Silvia logo on bonnet. Only driven on weekends over the last 10 months. Always run on 98 octane. Serviced every 5,000km's or less. Engine: 2.5" stainless steel exhaust custom made with Xforce Varex muffler twin tip (almost as quite as stock when shut, very loud when open, can hear cams nicely). K&N panel filter in standard box. Engine damper. Suspension and Wheels: Cusco front strut brace. ISC adjustable coilovers. ISC adjustable front lower control arms. ISC adjustable front castor rods. ISC adjustable rear camber arms. Whiteline sway bar links. 19" Apec Apache wheels black with polished lip. Achilles 225/35/R19 tyres front, Kinforest 235/35/R19 tyres rear. Car handles extremely well and is very stiff. All suspension work fitted and aligned less than 2,000kms ago. ICE: Kenwood CD player with MP3/WMA and aux support. Digital Designs W6.5 woofer w/ tweeter.
