  1. The Evo Brembo's have slightly larger pistons. You can see comparison info here http://alphaomegaracing.com/p/119/c/73/Z33/ALPHA-OMEGA/Evo-350mm-Brembo-Front-Brake-Adapter-Kit-Version-3.html
  2. So another track day has gone by, unfortunately not much luck at this one though. Sunday saw Round 1 of the NSW Supersprint Championships held at Wakefield Park. I was optimistic and hoping for a new PB, seeing as I was sporting some more power and less weight. I was rolling on my oldest set of RS3's as I am trying to get my full use of them but it may have been a bad call as I was struggling for traction all day. A number of others were saying they were running slower then expected on the day as well, so perhaps the track was a bit greasy as well, but this is motorsport.... Anyway, I pieced/slapped together this video testing different camera angles in the car for a lap around the circuit. Next Sunday I will be attending the Esses Decent at Mount Panorama. Very keen for this, again because I have more power. I will be changing rims/tyres over before this as I want to try and compete with my previous 2nd outright position
  3. Ok guys, I have received a little bit of interest so far. At this point we have the below confirmed: - Matthew with his R34 GTR (3L) - Myself with my R34 GTT (time attack/hill climb) If you are interested please either post here or shoot me a PM expressing so. Remember, if you decide not to keep it there is no cost for the experience
  4. Hi all, Alpha Omega Racing are looking for people that may be in the market and/or interesting in trialling their newly designed 1 piece alloy tailshaft. The guys at Alpha Omega Racing already produce an awesome 1 piece tailshaft to suit Z32 gearbox's in Silvia's and are looking to produce something similar to suit Skylines. You can view their current tailshaft here: http://alphaomegaracing.com/p/90/c/71/All-Products/ALPHA-OMEGA/Z32-Gearbox-Conversion-Tailshaft-1-piece-3-5-lightweight-alloy.html Current highlights are: 42% ROTATIONAL weight saving 10,000RPM 1,500Nm There will be two new categories that Alpha Omega Racing are wanting to make tailshafts for, RWD and AWD Skylines. RWD – Other than length, they will be exactly the same as the current spec tailshaft. Current plans will be to design and sell tailshafts suited for R33 GTS-t and R34 GTT. RRP = $1090 ETA = 2 weeks AWD – There will be more work involved in designing/producing these and as such cost/time will increase. They are wanting to design and sell for R32, R33, and R34 GTR. RRP = ~$1450 ETA = 7 weeks For initial testing, Alpha Omega Racing are looking to test tailshafts on R34 GTT’s and R34 GTR’s. The plan is to have three testers for each. All testers will be required to leave a full deposit as security which will be 100% refunded on return. Shipping will be covered both ways so you don’t pay anything at all. Alternatively, testers can choose to purchase the tailshaft at the end of the test period and will be given a discounted price as a thank you (difference would be refunded from security deposit). There are no obligations. What is Alpha Omega Racing looking for? As a tester, you would be expected to provide detailed feedback regarding the installation of the tailshaft and its performance once fitted. It would be expected that once the tailshaft is fitted you would be actively driving your Skyline (street and/or track) in order to thoroughly test it. You will need to remove your standard tailshaft and take a measurement for them, so that they can manufacture the shafts correctly for your exact model and trim level. Anyone wanting to express interest in being a tester please either make a post in this thread of PM myself. Please include some basic details of current mods on your car and whether it is primarily driven on the street or on the track. There will only be a limited number of people chosen to test the tailshafts. EOI required for: - R32 GTR - R33 GTR - R34 GTR - R33 GTST - R34 GTT
  5. So back on the 13th March I attended a RTDC track day at SMSP South Circuit. This was my first time on the track so I wasn't out to break any records and just wanted to have a fun day. I made sure to pack a spare set of driveshafts, because well... we all know my luck lol. (Fortunately they were not needed haha). I was able to get a PB of 1:05.67 on the day which I was happy with. It was a very hot day and my tyres were going off after one hard lap so each session mainly consisted of driving out, hot lap, cool down lap, cruising around the circuit and enjoying my track time for the rest of the session. One of the better pictures I have found of me from the day. I was running fairly wide on turn 1 most of the day My fastest lap in car-footage can be seen below.
  6. Thanks for following up but to be honest I'm unsure what the photos were they were posted so long ago lol.
  7. Looks clean mate, gratz
  8. I'm chatting with Alpha Omega Racing about possibly getting some designed/made When/if you go down the path of having to get some maybe check out their site in case they have done something
  9. Highly recommend buying from Kudos as well.
  10. Thanks mate. Yea I removed 50kg, so 1460 - 50 = 1410kg I will easily be under 1400 once I remove a few more things though.
  11. Ok guys, for those playing at home and that don't follow the CNTS Racing page, the car initially weighed in at 1460kg. I removed about 50kg from the car from just the interior. The intention is to remove further weight such as the air con, etc, however I just simply ran out of time. Not much else had happened until yesterday where I competed in Round 2 of the NSW Hill Climb Championships again. This was on the Mountain Straight side of Mount Panorama. The best time I managed yesterday was 51 seconds flat, just shy of my PB but still good enough to snag 2nd in class (out of about 25 cars). Video of my run below: Pics will get posted on the CNTS Racing page as I find them
  12. Bump, very much on the search for a carbon bonnet and boot now
  13. Who would like to guess how much my car weighs? Currently running a competition on the CNTS Racing Facebook page. This has been a bit of a wake up call that the car needs to go on a bit of a diet (which I secretly already knew lol)
  14. I have an R34 GTT stock washer bottle for sale No leaks at time of removal Removed due to placement of oil cooler Chasing $70 ono plus postage Located Bathurst NSW
  15. Lol I know. I won't be at Kempsey, I will only be at the 2nd day at Bathurst
  16. Cool, will see you guys at Rd2 of the hill climb champs (would be at Rd1 but apparently I have to attend a wedding )
  17. Nice to see you have rhe fromt kit fitted up. Keen to see your opinion with the brake bias setup
  18. Possibly interested in soft set if you've changed your mind on shipping
  19. Last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited by Nulon to join their team and have a bit of fun on the wet skid pan at Nulon Nationals Round 1. I was quite excited to jump in the car as it had been over a month since driving at Mount Panorama and I had also just been to New Zealand and attended D1NZ, so I was definitely in the mood to have a bit of a slide around. I filled the car and a couple of jerry cans with some corn juice and made the trek to Sydney. The day started off well and the car felt great. Then the Nulon Nationals curse struck again. I somehow managed to break a driveshaft whilst on the wet skid pan. I was fortunate enough that a good friend who was also driving on the day let me jump in their car for the rest of the day. I drove the car home (very cautiously) at the end of the day. Let me say, driving 1WD isn't so great lol. The next morning I got straight in to it and removed the broken shaft. I was able to source a replacement (and spare) relatively quickly but they unfortunately weren't delivered in time for me to put it in this weekend.
  20. Well it seems a have been terrible with updates as usual. Since competing at the above event Bathurst Speed weekend I was awarded the Bathurst Light Car Club 'Speed' trophy. The car club run a championship for all of there events and I managed to come out on top over all the supersprint and hill climb events which was pretty cool. Here a couple of awesome shots from the event courtesy of Dave Oliver! One of my 'slight' lock-ups on the supersprint
  21. How well do you think getting the shafts cryo treated worked?
  22. Bump
