  1. hmm so it would seem 9.5 +20 and 10.5 +22 would be almost perfect... I am looking to have the guards come out no more than 25-30mm I am not worried about the front, I can always source some off the shelf fiberglass jobbies and bolt them on... its the rear that will need to have cuts made, be flared and have filler put in etc etc Also I run about 1.5 degree neg camber in the front and about 0.5 neg in the rear and don't want any more so won't be going too low... its not a show car so not too worried about having it mm perfect
  2. okay so I want to run 9inch fronts and 10-11inch rears on my 33 GTSt and am after suggestions on which tire/wheel combo to look for. My basic plan is to run GTR (or fake GTR) front quarter panels and then just have the standard rear guards 'flared' out, possibly with some fiberglass to get some more coverage over the rear wheels... like the S14 attached but obviously not as extreme I want to stay with 17 inch wheels as I like to run good daily tires and it helps keep the cost down... I am really more concerned with width than diameter so my main question is can I run some 9 inch rims designed for a GTR (GTR offset +12 or so), on the front and then some 10 inch rims designed for a GTR on the rear? will this give me a weird track? I don't want to run spacers I am keen to get a hold of the rims/tires first, get it mocked up to see how the rear arches are going to work out... anyone running anything similar? BTW I have 9 inch rears with Azenis RT615 in a 255/40/17 on at the moment and I have scrubbing issues... car is at 360mm wheel to guard at the rear to stop this but when one side of the car is loaded up it can still scrub... want to get it down another 10mm all round any help would be appreciated
  3. I have an HKS pod filter with all the bits to mount it... crap at being an air filter but it might be of some use for random rice?
  4. Bali for easter booked and paid for... check Sisters wedding in Hamilton Island for a week booked and paid for... check new turbo still sitting on the table at home with no $ to install it... check tires worn down to the indicators all round... check still going to Phillip Island for my first run around there... check! Roy just book the trip and pay for it... then lie, cheat and steal to get your car to PI!
  5. so true! I like Scotsmans point about the tires, you can make as much power as you want but you will still have to put it to the ground through street tires... and with the fuel system restrictions just means that nobody will be running 300rwkw in standard class and making up too much time on the straights... and lets face it if you really wanted to cheat you could... but it would be kind of weird... and a little tragic kinda like dressing up like a pirate
  6. you can just tell that there is hardly any communication between sections of the Vic Police... lots of red tape and hot air, not much positive action (except when its really public and the cameras are there...) Police are only there to protect business owners these days... try to get some help as a private (tax paying) resident when your life isn't in immediate danger is almost impossible... and usually a waste of time anyway... I wanna see cops back out of their cars and actually walking the beat... especially in some of the problem areas that have developed around the place... so that they can actually talk to residents and not just cruising up and down the street with their sunnies on perving on chicks... stop thinking of more ways to tax private motorists, do some good in the community instead, talk to people, let people have an encounter with a cop that isn't because they have done something wrong... ...bleh bored at work
  7. you have PM

    Deca Review

haha oh dear, I thought I had a relatively 'clean' day but looking back on it I spun twice and hit a bunch of cones... one of these days I will get through a deca without hitting anything amazing that the big Kakimoto did so well, how does he fit it through the gates! well done to everyone the level of driving has definately gone up a notch (not mine lol)

    Deca Review

been trying to write this all day and keep getting interrupted by people wanting me to do work... how inconsiderate! Big thanks once again to all involved in putting these things on... finally managed to stick around for a couple of drinks afterwards and just long enough to get destroyed by the locals at pool... Kalli and I had a great time chatting with everyone so thank you once again... you're all very friendly for a bunch of hoons;) ps. that crest on the mini wang was scary enough going over forwards... was definately a new experience to tackle it backwards lol!
  11. Bah Tim has nothing, looks weak... oh wait did you say you WERE coming to deca?... sh*t where is that edit button.........................................
  12. haha seriously though which dodgy backroad LA bar did they find him on the floor off, before dusting him off, shaving him down and sticking him in 24... his career was revived magically, just like the new Rocky film
  13. I can't stand 24 its f***** stupid... neither can I stand Prisonbreak or Prisonrun or Prisondropthersoapintheshowers whatever the hell its called now... Lost is plain retarded.... 18. light tune GTSt running around 200rwkw most days... rebuilt about 20,000km ago and have done about 4 motorkhanas and 3 track days (60+laps) with no problems... running Arias forged pistons and prepped/tested stock rods... the knock sensors go crazy on mine but I have been told the Apexi stuff is really sensitive and due to the rather large piston to bore clearances (as spec by Arias...you could probably go closer but meh)... on cold mornings there is audible piston slap and it generally idles a bit rougher than stock but I have a/m cams so that doesn't help it all depends on what you want in the future... if you have no plans for major power upgrades I would just run standard pistons, they are generally lighter and quieter than forgies
  19. hey guys I have renewed my Cams licence as of about 3 weeks ago but they haven't sent me a new card or debited my credit card... I am getting a little nervous as I don't want to rock up to DECA empty handed... does anyone have a contact at Cams I can speak to?
  20. there is a write up on them in Autospeed at the moment... pretty positive too
  21. could be a pulley bearing too... esp. if you have just been changing belts etc
  22. its just an idea and we are just expressing interest... no harm in trying to think outside the square... I kind of agree I don't think it WILL eventuate... but it doesn't stop me from thinking its a good idea
  23. Should have gotten the Defi Link Meter;) no help here lol
  24. I'm with you Dane! more events at Sandown so I don't have to drive too far or get up too early... I'm fragile haha Dezz I think you have a future in town planning!
  25. drove the bosses Audi A3 turbo the other day and its actually a quick little f***er! front wheel drive is a bit of a shame because whack it in S and turn off the traction control and it will spin them easily... would be a blast tuned for a little more top end and rwd... they should do an RS3... I can only dream what an RS4 is like to drive
