  1. I have BMI DVD at home where S2000, WRX, RX8, V35, Integra R, and MX5 race around Tskuba(sp)... all cars are stock and the S2000 wins by a hair over the V35 Skyline. The WRX is third with its brakes fading, and the Integra R is 4th followed by the RX8 and then a country mile back to the MX5 in last place. The V35 is very impressive coming from last place through the field to almost past the S2000 which had bolted at the start... one more lap and he would have got him... the RX8 handles well but not enough grunt... the V35 out handles them all!!!
  2. yeah I ran one too in my line when it was stock... got half a car on him in the launch grabbed second and put another half a car on him... he slowed down almost as soon as I hit second... I reckon he was trying to suss out if I had a turbo or not and when he heard the pshh he just backed off... that said there a nice lookin car and look to be a lot of fun to drive...
  3. Was just asked this and I'm not sure... can anyone shed some light.
  4. thanks guys at least some people have got a brain... price is negotiable... oh and blade check my avatar... had heaps of fun on those wheels at DECA... thanks again... I gave you a trader rating too
  5. hmmmm some new evidence to suggest the reason for my clutch failure...
  6. in this case yes... sometimes 205's are better than 225's... so f**k off out of this thread and go talk to your local tyre guy... you may learn something...
  7. I have 4 x Stock R33 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 205's. There is at least 75% tread on them. Please note these tyres are easily $500 a wheel new and grip WAY better than the cheap 225's I have on the new rims. asking $400 Just pm if yo interested
  8. sorry Al this maybe a really stoopid question... but what does the battery have to do with the clutch? Almost 100% sure that its the clutch thats fubar... it was kinda funny... (in between being really sh!t)... If I put in any more than about 15% throttle in 4th or 5th gear the revs would shoot up and I would start slowing down... crawling along punt road etc was fun too... I had to go all the way up punt road hill in FIRST GEAR!
  9. Had heaps of fun... great day even though 2 minutes after leaving DECA and heading home my clutch started to slip so bad I could barely get the car to 100km/h... going up the hills i would slow to 80 then pick up speed down the hill only to slow down up the next one... people driving near me must have thought I was nuts... So who wants to donate a clutch?
  10. As the title suggests... I need two centre caps for R34 GTT wheels... Nick
  11. sorry just read this... famous last words...Its not your driving skill were worried about...
  12. hahaha soooo true... Can't imagine driving anything on my P's but my rusted out shitter I got when I was 18. Still managed to drive it sideways around every corner in the wet, smack a few gutters and of course drive it straight into a tree... damn old school Benz's... UNDERSTEEEEER... 270kw... you must have very understanding parents...
  13. how the hell do you drive around with a suspended licence when you don't even know what the punishment is if you get caught... Speaking from experience... If you get done and have your licence suspended YOUR DONE... ITS OVER... catch the train for a month you will be back driving before you know it! GROW UP... BE SMART... and you will get away with so much more
  14. I picked up a Blitz dual solenoid EBC brand new for $500... (these forums are a great place to get a good deal) It's small, sits tucked out of the way, holds boost perfectly, has peak hold function (good for me cos don't have boost guage), can set how quickly boost comes on, has boost spike warning blah blah... most of the functions I don't use but for the reasons I just listed I would'nt go back. Oh, bloody hard to work out how to use it but once you have it sussed you have 4 presets that you can switch to just by turning a knob... for example... OFF - you could have stock boost (EBC set to off) 4 - then minimal boost (stock boost but more 'gain' to bring boost on quicker) 3 - medium boost (1 or 2 psi higher than stock) 2 - high boost (about 10.5 psi on my ebc) 1 - extreme boost! (30 psi on your T88! FULLY SIK!)
  15. I have had this problem too however I think the tune on my car is quite good (I didn't tune it). I had the flat spot too but usually on cold nights when the boost was turned up. The 2 things I did that seem to fix the problem (don't ask me how) are: 1. Changed from using optimax to bp ultimate (not as convenient for me but hey its better) 2. Keeping my ebc turned off in cold weather and only turning it on when the car is well warmed up (ie driving for at least half an hour allowing oil to get to temperature, not reading the stock temp gauge... It lies!!!) I am not 100% on why these things have worked for me maybe someone could shed some light?
  16. I had some problems with the way my line was running... sometimes good... sometimes not so good (usual stuttering hesitation etc) especially when it was a bit cold... checked for vaccum leak, coils, afm etc. nothing worked 100% of the time to correct my problems. Finally decided to switch from Optimax to Ultimate. (was skeptical it would make a difference) and it now runs good ALL THE TIME! Just have to drive out of my way to fill up... but don't mind cos there is no way I'm ever putting that poison sh!t back in my tank...
  17. Was down at Calder having a few runs one Fri night... did my last run and popped the bonnet to let it cool a bit and found oil EVERYWHERE! Panicked badly for a few minutes trying to find the problem before I realised I hadn't replaced the dipstick properly... very messy
  18. no... I love a middle aged man, with a solarium tan and 10 grand worth of plastic surgery, wearing fluro speedos... really floats my boat
  19. yeah okay you have to give ford points for the whole turbo 6 thing...but... ford have been making mediocre family sedans with crappy build quality for thirty years...(anyone who has owned one for a few years can testify) am I supposed to fall over with excitement cos they finally made a half decent car... its about time! Ford and Holden have taken ten years to respond to the Australian car market importing Jap cars to feed there appetite for affordable, sports cars (ones that actually perform, not V6 commodores with 'aero parts' and 'alloys') Holden and Ford even had to get the government to kill off the importing of jap cars because it was hurting the local market. Why not just lift your game! Make better cars! So now Ford have built a car that people who know about cars actually like! TOO LATE! I will never buy a Ford, Ford fans may go on about the XR6T but what about the other 50 disgraceful pieces of sh!t they have built over the years. The XR6T excites me about as much as Sam Newman in speedos...
  20. ...yeah I prefer drum n bass but due to my friends getting more gigs playing breaks at the moment I haven't been to a drum n bass gig in a while... breaks are sometimes a bit slow and a too chilled out... I like bass that makes you feel as if you will sh!t your pants at any moment...
  21. aaah... another bass head any other breaks/d'n'b heads driving lines...?
