  1. I hope so, it was in GT1&2 I'm pretty sure... those games are to blame for turning me into a skyline head in the first place... HKS drag 33 was hilarious to punt... also have a major soft spot for RUF Porsches, had some silly modded one that would decimate all my mates cars... alas my budget to actually own those cars in real life only extends to a 15yr old GTR... maybe I'll get back into RUF tuned Porsches in GT5 and in 15 years time I'll actually be able to afford one lol
  2. nah not the roady, the full wide body race version... ran in Le Mans in '95 and '96... RWD but ran the RB26 with garrett turbos finished well in '95 "When the clock finally signaled 4.00pm and the conclusion of the race the #22 was in tenth place overall and fifth in LM GT1, the first non-McLaren F1 GTR." pretty article on them here, Part 1 http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/12/24...at-le-mans.aspx Part 2 http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/12/27...ans-part-2.aspx article on the 1 'road car' they had to build to get it homologated for GT1 (they never sold it to the public tho)... how cool would it be to build a replica of this thing, would turn a few heads I reckon lol http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/12/13...m.aspx#comments
  3. any mention of the GTR33 Le Mans car? oh and if you pay $300 for this game you should be slapped... Polyphony should be selling this stupid game at a discount for the amount of time we've waited and bullshit we've had to listen to
  4. probably finished for the day... try in the morning around 9am
  5. I don't think he'll get 38K for her... better to part her out... although I hear frozenpod could build himself a missus for under 30K
  6. great car but I don't think you'll get your asking price unfortunately... fully worked 33 GTR's go for similar prices, even less in some instances if your prepared to wait for the right buyer you might get mid twenties but not over 30K I'm afraid
  7. yeah I don't see the point in having more overlap if your not going for a decent amount of lift... the Procams have different lift options for the 260º... 9.15, 10.25 and 10.8... but then you need all the other gear to accommodate the extra lift
  8. factory clutch fan does a great job, no need to change thermos never seem to work as well unless they are shrouded properly etc edit: beaten to it;)
  9. run GTR rods with ARP bolts... balance the lot... any of the top piston manufacturers will be fine, its all in the build forget the cams, head work etc... leave the head alone get a decent bolt-ons instead... good FMIC, Nismo 550cc injectors etc... don't forget fuel pump, Nismo or Tomei in tank leave standard radiator (just flush it) Nismo coppermix clutch, Bilstein or Tein suspension (no China crap) and get a really good tune from someone who tunes 25's
  10. all I know is I have 260º 10.8mm lift cams in my R and it sucks fuel like Jenna Jameson sucks teh cawk is partially due to the high idle that's needed for lumpy cams but mostly due to the fact that you move the RPM the engine is most efficient at up towards redline... you can actually hear my car come on boost and then onto the cams... fair enough you can rev the thing to 9K if you really want... but if you like to do that you've obviously never paid for a rebuild on an RB my tuner recommended I go back to stock when he rebuilt the motor but I like the personality of the car better with them... if I wanted quiet, fuel efficient and responsive I'd buy a grown up car
  11. so probably no twin option for a standard capacity GTR hey... if GT-RS size is the smallest they're going... if they have that size that spools like the old 2530s then I'll take 2 thanks;)
  12. those things rip pretty good skids with the stock motor lol how about one of these... this ones diesel too
  13. next week! lol seriously though there is another thread on here with guys running the GTSS and E85 tune running 380rwkw... that's a nice flexible setup for both long and short track stuff... lots of timing with the E85 means great throttle response, GTSS so lag is minimal and its still getting you 600hp
  14. and I suppose its much easier to return the car to stock... means better resale without the turbos and nobody would ever know it was boosted
  15. doesn't matter on that setup though as he's got high comp Lexus V8 power... the turbos would just give more torque/power and fatten out the midrange and top end... he's only running 5psi if I heard correctly sweet car... pity about the gearbox, sounds slushy changing gears... a manual would be so nice
  16. a cheap GTR is going to cost you at some point but if you get one in good shape they're no more expensive to maintain than a GTSt or Silvia etc... if driven hard they use more tyres and fuel as they're a heavy car... the driveline is pretty bulletproof (more than a silvia)... the only thing to really worry about is engine condition... a proper RB26 rebuild is likely to cost you 7-10K... that said if street driven and not thrashed they are pretty tough motors... if your going to track it then its a different story you might want to look for one that has some of the more expensive wear items replaced recently... clutch, tyres, pads/rotors etc also Shannons will insure you under 30... I pay $1600 but my car is highly modified and I have it insured for 38K best bet go to a reputable GTR tuner and ask them if they have any customers who want to sell... that's the best way to find out the condition of the car... from the guys who do the work on it
  17. don't forget GTRs have wider panels so you can fit bigger rubber... not really an issue up front as the front quarter panels can be replaced with GTR items pretty easily but the rear quarters will involve hacking and welding
  18. for gods sake just put some brakes on the front... not happy that your bus almost killed my favourite workshop owner... where in hell would I take the R then, I don't trust anyone else;)
  19. ah fair enough... the Ventus road tyres are great, interested to see what the semis are like
  20. 90% of wedding photographers don't have any formal training, your shots don't look like an amateur so don't charge like one problem with digital photography is it was supposed to make it easier for photographers but in actuality it has become way more time consuming... your shooting 10 times as many shots as you would on film and the time spent going through them all in post etc... instead of just dropping film off at the processors and picking it up when its done etc so don't forget your not just charging for the time spent at the wedding but also time spent in post good luck with it!
  21. makes owning a GTR seem cheap whenever I think its expensive to run an import I just look at what the euro guys get charged for a basic boost up tune and it makes me smile... let alone if you own a Porsche... eeek ps. if my mechanic is reading this, don't you go raising your rates... I'm poor enough already lol
  22. well held... *golf clap*
  23. not until we see it in a car... that's moving...
  24. ah lol... well done Motor
