Yeah your GTO was mint... I was seriously contemplating looking at it when it was for sale but talked myself out of it Time to change your username! Very nice GTR, the 34's look great in black:)
-
damn you Slide how would these compare to the T517z 8cms? Purely a theoretical question because I'm not planning on changing turbos... anytime soon back on topic, I would listen to what Ash said about cams... your cams would be setup for making peak power well over 6000rpm... they have massive overlap
-
I dare say that would be the case with most performance cars... the BM included... I just don't see why the 35 would be any more of a waste in traffic than most other 100K+ supercars... I see a heap of Porsches being dribbled around town by gray haired blokes... do they consider it a waste? I dunno, I have never been in a 35 so I'm purely speculating... but all the hype I've heard is how good they are to live with day to day + their on track performance... a feat which many cars of this bracket struggle with... as Snowy stated, its a better package than the R8 which has been reviewed positively by every journo who has sat behind the wheel hell with the amount of traffic on the road these days anything with a motor bigger than 2L is being driven well below its capacity 90% of the time I do understand what your getting at though, wind out second gear in my car and don't even consider grabbing 3rd or you are breaking every speed limit in the country... I think the 35 would be a damn site better as a daily proposition than heavily modded 32,33,34 GTR's that give similar performance (in a straight line at least) and be just as much fun, if not more just my 2c

plenty of fuel pressure I'm guessing?
-
when I did DT a few years ago we got timed... but that might have changed?
-
omg... seriously... a car that pulls from down low with as much torque as the 35 is totally useable on the street... you can access the performance in nearly any gear from very low revs (so I'm told)... you guys should try driving a GTR with nothing under 4000rpm and getting dragged off at the lights by grannies cos you don't want to launch the thing at 8000rpm I don't get it, your complaining because its too fast and competent... if the thing was slower and looser it would never have received as much media as it did and you probably wouldn't have bought one in the first place

Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
NickR33 replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
it all comes down to your level of modification, you can't just flatly compare the two... its pointless... both have their upsides and downsides... impossible to say one is better without asking 'at what?' as a fun street car that can be punted at the track = GTSt as a fun track car that can be driven on the street = GTR my old GTSt was better on the street... but the GTR is in another league when it come to performance... but that's got a lot to do with modification so we just end up back at the start going in circles................................................ or on page 10 of another comparo thread -
just got an email... tomorrow night at 6:30, court 5... they have singlets for us... bring $25 for rego

New Threat To The Gtr's Dominance? New V8 Skelta!
NickR33 replied to CameronBNR32's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
yeah slightly better but it just looks as if they have thrown a bunch of flares and wings at it... its just not very well proportioned, no amount of aero is going to hide that fact... although the rear 3/4 view is its best angle by far (mainly because you can't see its face lol) would be a hoot to drive though... you'd just look like a bit of a tool, but that's what helmets are for;) -
New Threat To The Gtr's Dominance? New V8 Skelta!
NickR33 replied to CameronBNR32's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
geez they really do look like arse don't they... the previous hardtops were bad but I can't decide if this is better or worse... designers shouldn't try and be engineers and engineers shouldn't try to design... case in point, the Skelta! -
done, cheers guys Shane is playing with his old team so no won't be playing with us Bigbird do you know if Chris is keen?

damn that is clean for a 32! looking good mate, serious attention to detail right there... love the LM's... bitch to clean tho hey! I can't stand when they are dirty, almost makes me want to go back to black wheels
-
yep the G Max in my car does the same thing, judder and carry on... I actually find I drive it better in bare feet as I can really feel the catch point! I used the Coppermix single in my old car and it was a lovely clutch but didn't hold the power I needed it to... never used the twin but I'd definitely consider it for an upgrade when this one is gone, supposed to be much better than the old G Max... there is a review somewhere from one of the V35 boys who put the Coppermix twin in his car, mixed results there though

this build is so cool, love it... can't wait to hear that thing chugging away, and the looks on people faces when a 32 rolls past with a monster V8 burble... the exhaust and intake are giving me the 'orn! you will post some video once its running... pretty please!

Alright gentlemen... the new season starts in 2 weeks but due to the diminishing numbers towards the end of last season we need to know who is definitely up for playing this season... we had a lot of people going away (me included) so I think we need a solid 8 players to field a team and to cover when people can't make it down if there is interest from only a few people we have been given the option of joining with another team that only has 4 players (they will supply uniforms)... so we need to know asap if you want to play I think it would be a shame to fold the SAU team as we were actually playing pretty well towards the end of the season when we had the numbers etc but if there is only a few interested we will go ahead and merge with the other team Cheers
