  1. what a load of rubbish... 90% of the bikes that hammer past my place would be WELL over 90db... should be the same set of rules for everyone... I understand it helps them be seen etc but most of them are stupidly loud... I can hardly hear the imports in comparison, even those with fully hektic exhausts
  2. Chris (Scotsman) is keen to come down this week too, I think we need as many subs as possible... if last week was anything to go by!
  3. Yeah I had the Nismo single but it wouldn't take more than 240rwkw... I kept the flywheel and upgraded the clutch to a Benno special... he reckons they deliberately have a really light clamping pressure to get you to upgrade to the twin plate... sneaky bastards oh and to make up for the serious post here is a dog wearing a toupee...
  4. why not do it on the side, sounds like a good idea... big difference between bodybuilding and PT though, most of your clients will be looking to improve their health and fitness not become huge lol most of the guys who want to be big reckon they know it all and are in the gym trying to lift twice what they should with bad form and no control lol My old man is heavily involved in the PCYC in St Kilda and they are always looking for volunteers etc... you could do a few shifts there to get experience etc... he quit advertising after 30yrs and is now a personal trainer, mostly training clients over 50 as that's his niche... great way to get out of the office tho... and learn some new skills at the same time... I wouldn't go quitting your day job just yet but as a side project its great... most clients would want to train before or after work anyways so you could still work your 9-5 Edit: oh and come play basketball with the SAU team! we need someone who is fit lol
  5. how much power you going to be putting through that clutch? Benno does a a GTR style single plate for under $1500... I have one and its great, you can slip it a bit and its not too heavy etc... I'm not sure what he rates them to, but mine took 260rwkw no problem, I would think you would get 300 out of it pretty safely
  6. haha I wouldn't worry... we were all struggling a bit in that department!
  7. I.......am.....................................unfit
  8. I'm in... rollin in the gf's 'rolla... cos that's the way I roll... and my turbo's not back yet... doh!... see ya there oh yeah I hope someone has a ball so we can shoot around a bit before the game... I may be a tad rusty...
  9. cool! I've always wanted an Intergrale... I used to learn to drive in my old mans Fulvia Sport... 1.3L of fury! also drove his Alfa GTC quite a bit... double clutching FTW hehe... modern cars are so easy in comparison neither were remotely as quick as an Intergrale tho!
  10. My old man has used Pur-Sang Automobiles for years, they used to be in Coventry St Sth Melbourne but have moved to Fitzroy I believe...
  11. good stuff, we need some tallish people... by the sounds of it we are mostly sub 6ft at the moment love that fail pic
  12. yep... you could even go the bigger housing (.86 I believe) for some more top end... I have 256º cams to help it breath a bit
  13. just to clarify my graph ^^ is a HKS 2835 not the Garrett 3076...
  14. Yep its a good balance between top end and response... exchange rate has kinda screwed the pooch on HKS kits now tho Just whatever you do get a catch can... I just destroyed my compressor on the skid pan with oil injected back into the intake:( as you can see I need a better exhaust, its choking it up top but I reckon an extra 10rwkws there easy
  15. just out of curiosity what's it going in Roy?
  16. short shift into 2nd as soon as you get rolling fix the camber in the rear that's the main thing (I also suspect your suspension is too hard) dunno what else to tell you, mine just grips in the wet, the rears only spin if I want them to... and that's with 260rwkw and 2way mech diff... some pineapples set to squat might help as well when I first got the car I had hard springs in with worn standard shocks and crappy federal tyres and the thing was pretty lethal in the wet... totally different car nowadays
  17. beautiful... perfect example of an RX7... good luck with the sale
  18. NickR33

    Ideas..?

27K! way to go, see never hurts to ask for more when there is a demand and you don't need/want to sell evo.... eeew RX7 will be fine for street driving... just a little thirsty
  19. Go to http://waverleybasketball.com/ and look at mens fixtures, C reserve grade and we are called SAUVIC.COM.AU first game is 8pm next wednesday
  20. having trouble with the extra players I promised... they have come down with a sudden case of weaksauce... I've got someone else I haven't tried so stay tuned
  21. yeah I would have come down for sure... assclowns lol :laughing-smiley-014:
  22. I'm in... have a black singlet I can bring... number 23 of course;) I should be able to bring a mate from work as well
  23. NickR33

    Ideas..?

loan on a turbo grey import... you would have to be pretty brave!
  24. geez that's keen! nah I'm not really fat just unfit and I have always played basketball of some sort... team sports are much more fun than just going to the gym (which I also do) weight work is the best for burning fat... cardio you only burn fat for the time your doing the exercise but if you add muscle you will find you burn more fat (energy) 24hrs a day... never go by what the scales say as weight is misleading... my old man is a personal trainer and that's what he says anyway lol
  25. I reckon an SAU team would be cool... I'm down but used to playing point guard so we would need some tall peeps... Big Bird I'm lookin at you mate!
