  1. Okay so I want to build a clubman of some sort and road register it... I'm a pretty crap mechanic but have access to a full garage and experienced mechanic to check all my work... it would need to have minimal fabrication (we can bend up a few brackets but that's about it) and I'm hoping I could get the whole job on the road for no more than $40K so my questions are... has anyone done this and registered it for road use in Vic? or know anybody who has? I have had a read of a few sites and think that PBR are probably the best http://www.prbaustralia.com.au/ but I can't find any kit car specific forums I know that Meridian Motorsport sell clubman kits and I'll go and talk to them as well but I just thought I would throw it open to the petrol heads on this fine forum... someone must have been as crazy as me!
  2. you will need to bolt on some flares I reckon... you could do that relatively cheap and nasty tho
  3. not yet... I turned down a dodgy china copy cos its Pixar and must be watched in high def! (yes I could just go to the movies)
  4. I'm waiting til it comes on foxtel... November 23, 8:30pm Nat Geo channel (obviously)... must not watch on net... must get back to work... argh
  5. Don't know if anyone is running R34 GTR rims on their 33 GTSt so here goes Skyline model = R33 GTSt Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9" Wheel offset = +30 Tyre size = 235's all round Modifications to fit = none (about 1.5º neg camber on the front) car feels more balanced with same size rims/tires all round... better than the staggered fitments I used to run... and now I can rotate when the rears are worn... food for thought
  6. haha segways... invented by the fattest nation on earth... so they don't have to use their legs... ever
  7. good plan! I wouldn't worry about it... you might find you never see a cop...
  8. as long as you don't have to do any 3 point turns or tight corners (more than 90º) it will be fine... if you try to take it to the shops it will shit you up the wall! for drift it should be great... but I don't drift so don't take my word for it
  9. I got my 2835 through Slide on these forums... tiny bit more $$$ than Nengun but took days not months
  10. hmm now where did I put that 12g...
  11. I love alcantara... and I love this thread! *off topic* have been watching some old Aus Group C footage recently and its made me want a track prepped Bluebird with massive flares and slicks... eeeew so ugly... sooo 80's.... what's wrong with me! awesome racing tho, go George Fury!
  12. tuff life there Russ!
  13. faxed and paid:)
  14. thanks guys! new carbon bonnet to come... mechanic desided to go for a drive without putting the bonnet pins back in so its cracked right through the middle now... can't really tell from the pics but its fubar! lucky it didn't hit the windscreen or roof... that would have been upsetting
  15. got new shoes... painted R34 GTR rims... look good with the 34 brembos... good offset too, just no dish:/ pic of the Nardi wheel too... so nice to drive with
  16. Aus has a top alcohol division as well... bloody kiwis
  17. years ago when I was a little tacker I got a ride down to the Geelong sprints in one of Jeff Duttons Daytona's... and back in a Porsche speedster if I remember correctly still remember the seats/seating position of the Daytona... you were almost laying down... and the big chrome gearknob and shifter gate... sooo cool
  18. haha did that white car have any shocks or was it just riding on pogo sticks!
  19. yeah I would have bought the GTI too... but I'm still damn impressed with the Diesel, it pins you in the seat but you have to be pretty liberal with the throttle would be extra fun with the paddles JAS-25T!
