  1. ...well you can't have moved very far... got out of bed about midday on Sunday, opened the curtains and guess what I saw on the other side of dandenong rd, directly across from my window!... freaky lol we should have a beer sometime
  2. haha your right... it's Friday!.......... fixed
  3. congrats ash!... see you on the streets of windsor:)
  4. its an RB20 dude, you will be fine at 230rwkw's... just make sure the tune is good... not a big mistake IMO Roy will post here soon... 260rwkw on standard RB20... plenty of track work and he drives like a bank robber hehe... you will be fine:)
  5. don't get sucked into the megapixel war... a good photo is more dependent on the quality of the lense than anything else
  6. wise words! someone came into the studio with an iphone today... had a play with it and its pretty cool but my fingers are too fat to type, I kept hitting the wrong letters! I'm sure you would get better at it but it shat me up the wall... the GPS/map stuff is farkin cool tho, I'm considering it just for that... and as I'm a Mac user I would prefer it to the Nokia

    Car Vs House

relax big bird... its all going to be okay............................................. boooooooooost... haha this thread =
  8. off topic but god damn that is one beautiful E30, seriously pretty, like Jessica Alba pretty... I have always wanted one and those pics have just made it worse... pics of the black one at Superlap didn't help either
  9. this thread is great, good solid discussion has kept me entertained for days! (a bit of rib poking just makes it better, as long as its kept civil) I think this event is a great idea as long as there are a clear set of rules and they are actually enforced on the day... congrats to all that entered and gave it a go I don't have a problem with Pro Drivers in open class... with all the money spent on these cars (and we are talking serious cash) why wouldn't you put the best driver behind the wheel you could afford? Especially if you are representing your business or sponsors... I can even see the benefit of them in Club class as well but I also don't think its particularily 'sporting'... there are only plastic trophies up for grabs at the end of the day Great photos taken as well... its pretty easy to tell which are the 'pro' drivers as they all drive on the concrete verge behing the ripple strip... easier to do when your in someone else's car hehe;) The real focus should be on making these a success in the future, not worrying about who did what and pointing fingers:) oh almost forgot.... SAU Vic FTW!
  10. as people have already said this turbo is better for daily driving IMO... none of the whooshing/hissing and carrying on the stocker does (which got really annoying after a while) and I feel I have better control over when I want positive boost pressure and when I just want to putt around... the motor also doesn't feel as 'strangled' anymore... kinda like the first time you get a full exhaust on your car the traction problems I was having were mostly to do with the freezing and damp roads that night, seems to be gripping much better now... helps if there is some heat in the tires too Sly33 have you tried pushing anymore than 16.5psi? I thought these turbos would take 18-20psi on an RB25? That said I will be happy with 280rwkw if I can get it:)
  11. I just looked at the dyno chart in that Grepin thread... 322rwkw with sub 10:9 air fuel ratios!?! something not quite right there would love to get 300rwkw out of the 2835... pointless on the street but would be heaps of fun on the track... I don't think it would quite get there tho
  12. Yep 2835 Pro S FTW! I posted in the turbo comparo thread but I'll chuck my dyno sheet up here too... The only real difference in mods between my setup and you guys is I'm running Tomei 256 cams (and a built bottom end) Traction is a bit of a problem and I'm only running low boost... have to roll on the throttle very gently in lower gears and that's with Bilsteins, pinapples set to squat, cusco diff, camber bushes and 255 wide Azenis RT615... I'll get some RE55's for the track so it should be okay... when you start running more power you can really start to see the advantage of the 4wd in the GTR! but yeah big praise for Racepace, they did a great job, I'm very happy... just need a Benno special clutch and we can turn up the boost:)
  13. yep pretty happy bout that... it drops off to 12-11psi near the top too I just need a clutch... then more booooost I bet that 255 really snaps your neck back when you open the throttle tho hehe reponse would be awesome
  14. yes.... yes it is.... cos its my birthday too!
  15. Congrats guys! hope all are well haha I can see it now... a mini DECA with peddle cars and little witches hats
  16. sorry to revive an old thread but I've been through this dilemma recently and thought I would post the results... I decided on the HKS 2835 Pro S with the 0.68 housing (came with the kit so thought I would try it out first) results were 244rwkw @ 13psi... clutch would not hold anymore power on the dyno... I can post a dyno chart if anybody is interested... mods are in the RB25 turbo upgrade sticky... turbo comes on a little later than the stock but this just makes it easier to putt around off boost... when you want the power its all there well before 4000rpm... I definately wouldn't desribe it as laggy... I'm VERY happy with the results, none of the whooshing sounds of the stocker either, just a jet like whine as it spools can't wait to shove 20psi down its throat:)
  17. I need to get out to Winton one of these days, looks like lots of fun
  18. Nice shots bigbird! is that you doing a 1:41 in the 32GTSt Marlin? nice work if it is
  19. Hey Chris I have done a little different to the other options here, I went for R34 Brembos front and rear with DBA 5000 rotors... It's the more expensive option for basically the same performance as the offset brackets + standard calipers... however if you can get the Brembos at a reasonable cost and you can sell off your old gear, its not that much more $ than the UAS offset setup... the only real advantage in going this way is they probably have less kays on them then your old stock gear and definately look better...
  20. haha nice one Snowy... the're lucky it didn't roll into the Commode!
  21. Hi guys, yep direct bolt on to the standard induction pipe... sounds similar to a pod but not as loud as the HKS pod I used to have on there The Z32 looks to be the same size as the regular afm but I didn't measure it, I'll ask around to make sure Yep I can post it no worries Photo is about 6 months old, filter element is in good condition, I will take close up pics
  22. Item: ARC Airbox Age: 2yrs Condition: Good Price: $200 To Fit: R33 GTSt Location: Melbourne Contact: PM me Comments: I will post a pic of it out of the car soon. It wouldn't fit with the new turbo kit so I went with a pod. Has a great induction sound.
  23. R33 GTSt HKS 2835 Pro S kit Power FC Nismo 555cc injectors Tomei fuel pump Z32 AFM Hybrid GT spec FMIC Apexi Pod Tomei 256º Poncams Blitz EBC 244rwkw @ 13psi Clutch was slipping when the boost was over 13psi hoping for 270-280 once fully tuned ps. This turbo sounds f*cking beautiful when spooling, love it
  24. Roy... I'll go ya halves... I love that car this really is a retarded thread... we all know a GTR is the better performance car, there just isn't any doubt about that... and yes most GTSt out there are cheaply/poorly modified and would get owned by even the most stock GTR... however as some of the guys have pointed out there are many valid reasons to own a GTSt over a GTR... and yes with the money spent in the right areas they can come very close to matching a GTR for performance for me, I spend more than I should keeping my GTSt on the street and on the track... it just simply isn't in my budget to do the same with a GTR, it would be a street only car... and whats the point in owning a performance car icon to go down the shops in... and I don't see the point in dragging a heavy 4wd system around when you don't need to use it 99% of the time either way I think a good driver will be fast in either and scare the pants off many other sportscars...
