yeah I vote something is wrong with the install... I run similar tyres with the DS2500's and some RDA rotors on my GTSt, and I can do about 7-10 flying laps before I seem to get any brake issues (soft pedal) and my rotors certainly don't look like the pic posted... oh I still have the dust shields on too but I think Roy has just convinced me to ditch them... UAS do alloy brake air diversion ducts for GTR/GTSt's BTW, look just like the pic Giant posted

yeah if you can pick up a secondhand crank for a couple of hundred bucks it should be sweet (I saw a few for sale when I was buying the rods)... are the 34 GTR N1 pistons cast or forged? I'm assuming they are nice and lightweight...

no need to run the 26 crank if his is okay (but if he does go for 33 crank don't bother with 32)... I have 25 crank with R34 26 rods + 26 Arias pistons + Total Seal rings... N1 oil and water pumps... 1.5mm restrictor in the block, other feed blocked off... high energy circuit sump... oil cooler... won't be running the external drain as mentioned in SK's thread but have cleaned up the oil galleries for better flow

my god there is a lot of rubbish in this thread... V8SC are much quicker round bathurst, end of story... but they should be, they are race cars dressed up to look like road cars... but yes the parity makes it boring... nothing like the old days but then the GTR killed all that fun didn't it;)

what's the go with detailing freshly painted cars? how long should you wait before getting some wax on there?

did you use fresh rings or just grab the bottom end and bolt it up? impressive effort in the time spent, even more so if you had the bottom end apart making me wish I went 3L... torque animal! no more china tires for you!

I've got new N1 pumps for my 25 build... not worried as its really a circuit motor that won't be pushing much more than 250rwkw... almost standard rev limit and baffled/circuit sump, restricted feeds etc what I want to know is should I run the crank collar or not... I suppose logic would suggest with the price of the collar its cheap insurance? also guys that have had the pump fail are you sure you it wasn't detonation that pounded the crank which may have cracked the pump? might be a case of which came first the chicken or the egg? most had forged pistons which can take a fair bit of detonation before they are damaged... of course I would expect some pretty smooshed bearings in this case as well...

still going to be at 3 weeks before I get my car back:( ... I'm having withdrawals bad now... I really wanted to run the old Morwell track, I'm a sad panda today new track should be the goods tho!

yep that 26 with GTSS would be perfect for you... don't think he will sell it to you for 3K tho:( 3K won't buy you much... maybe a turbs upgrade for the 20... factor at least 6K for any forged motor listed here EDIT: except a rb30et, you might score a secondhand forged package relatively cheap

my stock turbo is off at the moment because my motor is out... so its just sitting there with all the lines still attached etc... if your interested pm me with your price for a swap... I can send it up to you and you can just send me the GTRS once you have had it swapped over
