  1. I have same setup as you evil... I always run the front on medium and just play with the setup on the rear... full hard on the rear was the most fun and made it more responsive as 33's with the heavy rb up front and the long wheelbase tend to push understeer really badly on the skidpan... buuuuut that being said it is much more balanced/nuetral with the rear bar on medium... and if you are pretty agressive with the handbrake when required you won't see any understeer... this is now my preferred setup this is all pointless anyway when you consider the stock diffs multiple personalities... harder the rear bar is the more single spinning you get
  2. oh noes... that's so not cool! Can't tell you how many punctures I have had fixed over the last couple of years... makes you want to just give up and run cheap chinese tires:( kinda off topic... but has anyone seen that mythbusters where they fire a bit of truck retread at a car window at 40mph? Ronin is right it could have been even worse!!!
  3. no they have definately been professionally retrimmed in the suede... but look to be originally JJ seats/
  4. hey I think your right, cheers dude! I just realised I paid too much for these... fantastic considering I bought them from a 'mate' ah well I'll just put them in the car... mods can you close this thread please?

damn that was really good... we were standing right next to the mixing desk so the sound was perfect... and he was rocking the mini fro... top show he did F**k the Police too:) another show tonight Al, don't know if its sold out or not... last night was... BTW the forum is a great venue
  7. do you want stock rods that have been shot peened or do you want aftermarket rods? I would try... Aus companies: rocket industries just jap high octane mod your car or there is always greenline and nengun I'm lucky enough to have an RB25... got some R34GTR Vspec rods for a couple of hundred bucks that bolt straight in I have just been madly ringing around to source some replacement rings for my Arias pistons and been told they will be 4 weeks... pretty annoying as they are the only part I'm missing and everything else is back from the machinist waiting to be assembled... mine has only been off the road for 2 months and thats bad enough, 6 months would suck! stupid pistons have a uncommon ring gaps on them so can't even find another brand that fits... welcome to the DIY rebuild!

I'm going tonight... I'll jump on here tomorrow and spoil it for you;) hehe pity Mach 10 isn't coming too... but apparently he set his ex wife on fire so isn't allowed to leave the country... or something lol
  9. well done boys and girls, top efforts! glad to see ryan and jarrod doing so well in the 180... team 150rwkw FTW! it proves you don't need a big turbo to get decent results! I think I will definately be in for dutton next year... providing I don't break the car by then... again:/
  10. thanks Russ, have edited first post... they are damn nice in the flesh.... you want new seats mate... I do good price... you buy you buy lol
  11. yeah I don't think so either now (they don't have the usual recaro harness holes)... have changed price to suit but I don't know how to change the thread title? They have big recaro labels stitched under the bottom of the seat, what a weird thing to do... if you were going to put fake branding on surely you would put it somewhere you can see
  12. I have been googling and can't find any recaros that look like these and they definately aren't stock S200 seats... its a mystery... so I will drop the price to $1000 for the pair... I'm located in Melbourne... An exhaust shop or anywhere that does fabrication/high quality welding should be able to graft the top of the universal rail onto the bottom of your Nissan one... that's what I was going to do... I have a Nissan rail here you can take with the universal rail and get a quote on the fabrication before you buy the seats (if in Melb)... to see if its worthwhile these are really nice in the flesh, come check them out! Cheers, Nick
  13. Hi all, I have a couple of retrimmed seats here. They are covered in black suede with red stitching. They come with universal rails but will need to be modified to fit in a skyline. The have Recaro labels stitched on the bottom of them but I cannot find any other brand markings and they don't look like recaros. I was going to put them in my 33 but I'm rebulding my motor at the moment and need the funds Selling as a pair will not seperate (will look better as a pair anyway) $1,000 for the pair reply here or via pm ps. the photos don't do them justice, they look as if they have never been sat in, the suede is 100% Cheers, Nick

    Deca Wrap Up

I hate missing out on decas:( nice pics and vid evade! would have been perfect weather
  15. haha now who's been googling their own name.....
  16. any decent mechanic can do this for you... but its isn't a quick job its a MAJOR service so I don't know if you will get any cheaper quotes... considering the parts will cost you almost $400 and it sounds like they are going to service your pulley bearings its not a bad deal ... small price to pay versus a timing belt or water pump failure... even a basic rebuild/freshen up will cost you over 4 grand
  17. thankfully it is fast.... because damn its ugly... and that's coming from a 33 owner lol pretty intense tho, no 'get out of the car' or 'give us the keys'.... just start shooting at the guy!
  18. yeah its pretty embarassing when someone jumps in your car and is quicker than you so Ryan was in the 1.29's hey... was this on RE55's? cos if it was I think he has a couple more seconds in it still... I've done a 1.29 around there on streets with the speed limiter on and I think our cars are similar power/weight its hard to drive a car fast that you aren't comfortable in but you should have plenty of practice adapting to different cars
  19. haha I can vouch for that!... smooth as a babies behind once its moving, just as long as your not trying to exit a servo with the cops cruising past lol I think I have to work on Sat at this stage but let me know if your mate falls through and I'll see what I can do
  20. what times were you doing, were you quicker than that tall bloke (and does he fit in the car now?) yep you definately need some hp to haul up that hill on the back straight... sandown neeeeds powerrrrrr clarkson style
  21. weird... its like you know exactly what I do for fun on the weekends hopefully its a nice day on sunday and I can make it down for a little spectating good luck all
  22. noooo not wood! Muira is my favourite classic car, maybe the prettiest car ever designed
  23. niiiice... what's the greeny yellow thing that comes just after the yellow Diablo... new Muira concept or something!?
  24. hello all Are there any advantages going for the ACL engine gasket kit over standard Nissan? motor is for street/khana/track, it will see plenty of heat and high rpms as well as the odd trip to work on a cold rainy morning it was also suggested I should opt for a metal head gasket but the cost of a Tomei or Trust one has scared me off and the fact that I hardly ever hear of the standard gaskets failing even in hi po motors any help is appreciated
  25. same deal here dude... looks alright as long as its fairly low... just looks dodgy from the rear 3/4 view I reckon
