yeh thats what i thought about $1500 for a rebuild, i might ask a couple of mechanics that i've delt with in the past how much they will do it for if i remove the box myself & supply the new synchros, i do know what you mean about getting half way through something then realising you will never be able to do it as good as a professional.

i am looking at buying a 93' R33 GTS-T, it looks like a great car, recently had a new engine installed with 90,000 on the clock, the only problem is in the description the guy explains that the Synchros in the gearbox are starting to let go but the car is still driveable, what kind of issues am i looking at here? can i easily replace the synchros & how much would i be looking at? i can do all the labour myself just need a price indication.

found a cheap r32 radiator, can it be used in an r33 non turbo?

looks like i have a buyer for my car for $6000 (NOT SOLD YET, JUST DOING SOME HOMEWORK) im in wodonga, victoria, only interested in buying something from victoria because its a hastle to transfer it over etc.. im after a 93'-94' R33 RB25DE GTS non turbo skyline with no problems, i dont care if it is completely stock & plain, a matter of fact thats exactly how i want it. as long as the engine has low kays, runs well, has been looked after & has at least 2 months of rego left. roadworthy would be nice too, just so i know its right to go. $6,000 is what im offering, i dont have anymore $$ so please dont ask anymore.. if you feel like sending me an email with pics or anything regarding interest use this.. azzafreddy@hotmail.com cheers

i am still trying to sell my subi to buy this, i live in vic i can get a slip letting me drive the car unroadworthy/unrego for 28 days off vicroads, do you think ill be able to do this when im buying it from nsw? so i can drive it home rather then trailor?

its my old car, i was a p plater at the time, it sais its a de on the plate so this means he can drive it, putting a de engine into it is the best choice you will be able to drive it with not a worry at all, believe me i looked into this heaps when i owned it, now hurry up & get that bloody engine because im itching to help you get it running
