  1. Haha, Cheers Brett. ....Nice Rabbit
  2. Cheers for the answer Richard, I'd love to try a back to back with the twins vs a 8374 on the same motor. I'm fizzing at the bung to get the 8374 on my new RB30....Should make my RB26 with it's -5's looks slow! The only concern I have is if I have a big enough exhaust housing, Going by what I read around on here and other sites, the IWG .92a/r might be too small.....Time will tell, I'm not after huge HP, More small track response. I've asked Brett if BW are looking at releasing a larger IWG housing bigger than the .92a/r, But haven't heard back yet.....But he is no doubt a very busy man!
  3. I was always under this impression as well (but am prepared to be proven wrong) 2x as many bearings to drag on 2x as many turbine wheels (even though they are smaller) 1/2 as much exhaust gas per turbo Less than ideal piping due to room constraints Greater heat soak due to crammed space
  4. That's a good looking result, Response much earlier than the -10's and made more power. They do look to be the go on an RB26 looking for more power than the -5's.....I would love to see a set on a RB30! Wouldn't mind seeing a back to back of these and the 8374 on the same car!
  5. Sorry I read "grenade" as crap....
  6. Woo.....Thems fighting words! Like most people that have followed these turbos, Yes, The probably released them too early, But calling them a crap product is a bit far fetched. The reason there hasn't been many results is the lack of "Production" product out there, There are a few prototype units running around, But as you can imagine, these are test units only and the results are not really for consumers, they are for BW to data base with. I ordered my 8374 from Full-Race about 7mths now, And yes I'm a little pissed it has taken this long, But I still believe it is worth waiting for
  7. There was live updates and news on the WTAC site, And my family was helping with the Coote's S13 that Earl Bamber was driving, So I was getting plenty of texts from Sydney.
  8. Well the Sierra Sierra Evo was clocked the fastest down the straight (280kph IIRC) with a 9180 on it.........They were accused by the Jap teams around them of running NOS (illegal) ....Who can knock Tarzan out of his tree next year?
  9. It isn't an EFR in that photo Mike...It is a B/W factory BMW unit though. We probably all could post photos of failed Garrett units as well and say the new GTX units are crap too if you like?
  10. I think the twin 6258's will be awesome....I just wanted to go with the single 8374 with IWG to simplify all the plumbing, I've already dumped all of the rubbish under the plenum when I built the RB30/26, and having the hotside sparce will be good. [counts scars from replacing low mount turbos a couple of times!!]
  11. Thankyou for your answer, I still believe that my patience in waiting for the 8374 EFR will be worth it (Ordered/paid 6mths ago), This turbo has all of the latest tech built into it....I'm still keen to stick it out Hook me up Full-Race/BW so I can get some results out there. LOL!
  12. That is not filling me with confidence!! Any reply to this Mr Baron, From how I read you last reply it will have a Borg Warner Turbo....But maybe not a EFR? AirWorx perhaps?
  13. Does this mean the -10 turbos are going back on the R34 for the WTAC?
  14. I know, It was a bit tongue in cheek....My bad. Yeah, If I had ordered a twin kit I would be rolling now, I'm waiting for a 8374 T4 .92a/r IWG. ....But we have 8" of snow in Christchurch yesterday, So couldn't drive the car anyway! haha
  15. ....And some more of the turbos sent out to the plebs
  16. Sounds like the plot to a cheesy American fighting movie! Hahaha!
  17. More power and quicker spool up? also less pipe work.
  18. Thats what I have in the engine, 280 10.55mm Kelford Cams, I am a little worried that they are going to reduce the responce....But hopefully by what you are saying about the R34 they should be OK.
  19. Awesome to hear that the 9180 is super responsive on the RB30, it bodes well for me with my 8374 on my RB30. I don't spose we would be allowed to know what cams are in it?
  20. He lost his license for buying a Hyundai? That has to be worth 10 years!
  21. It is similar, Have a look on their website http://www.sincocustoms.co.nz/ They make them in steam pipe, I've had dramas in the past with my HKS/Top Secret Stainless Manifolds cracking and warping, Where as these guys warranty them for 5 years against cracking and warping. I will be getting it HPC coated I wouldn't buy another Jap manifold.....If I was going stainless it would only be a Full-Race or a 6Boost
  22. As soon as my 8374 arrives and I have got Sinco to make the manifold (They have tacked it together to check first that it fits with this turbo) I will have the car on the NZEFI dyno (4x4 hub dyno) and we will see what it's like on a built RB30/26, I will post results/dyno sheet when done
  23. ...Compared to NZ's, At least Sydney's transport goes to somewhere...
  24. I should get my A into G and book a flight to watch this year....Fly there, take train to the track, watch some WTAC, train back to the airport, fly home. I love Sydney public transport....probably cheaper for me to fly to Sydney to see this, than flying to Hamilton for the V8SC's......And I live in NZ!!
