  1. looks like you've got it under control Ang! definitely post pics - they are a TE37 knock off, and there isnt a car that TE37's dont suit Enjoy
  2. should be no dramas mate
  3. Those are some wide wheels mate lol How much will effort will i need to make these fit? a bit of time and money will have to be put into it - a good weekends worth I know ill need rolling but also flaring of guards.? not if you run crazy stretch and camber both front and rear - prob easier to and more beneficial to get camber arms than f*k with flaring the guards Would hicas be affected on the rear? no idea bro what tyre sizes would be ideal? 225/35/18 on the front. thats a fair bit of stretch and you will still need a touch of camber. 235/40/18 on the rear + couple of degrees of camber would i need to run camber? etc. Oath. Hope i was some help mate, im no wheel fitting wizard but i have played with a few sets of different sizes/offsets/tyre sizes on my own cars. Best of luck, it will look tough as nails Pez
  4. they will fit, piece of piss mate. i would recommend a 225 or 235 width on the fronts and 245 or 255 width on the rears
  5. that hitler video is the funniest thing i have seen all weekend
  6. Great to meet you yesterday Simon, your a top bloke your car is even more of an inspiration in the flesh!
  7. +1 for evo! my old man has a VE SS and an Evo 8...he reckons the evo is 10x more responsive and has great feel over the commy both are standard bar custom exhausts/filter upgrades
  8. Pat just stated he had 2 out of 6 brand new yellow jacket coilpacks fail on him, maybe he got some ultra dodgey ones - or maybe they are all dodgey? nfi Ever changed your standard panel filter assembly over to a pod yourself and left the afm plug off? does it feel like that? swap the afm for a used second hand one and see it it is any better. should be one on here for $50-100 max.
  9. that sounds brutal. love it
  10. could go down to 225/235 on the 9" easily. i have driven with my 18 x 9.5J offset +25 on the front of my GTT before and it was sweet...although i have had a bit of guard work and i wasn't executing hairpin corners at great speed on bumpy roads so i didnt really test it. wait till your 255's are worn out than get a more stretched fitment (get a tyre place that will let you try on a couple of different size tyres and go for a drive) and see how it goes. Im running 18 x 8.5 +29 on the front, which would work out to be not that different than your rears. Front guards have been significantly rolled.
  11. that evo 8 looks the ducks nuts
  12. still interested in another ride. now has HKS Hipermax II coilovers, 125000K's. intercooler+piping painted matte black. will come with spoiler. forgot to mention it has nismo side+front clear indicators tyres are KUHMO KU21's 235/40/18 on front, only travelled 500kms Kenda Kaiser's 245/40/18 on rear, 70% tread Keen on an evo 5/6, 03 WRX and up. maybe something AWD
  13. KUMHO KU21 ECSTA 'All season tyre' 235/40/18 245/40/18 (bit o' stretch) got recommended to give them a go by my tyre dude as I don't require 2nd gear stand stills/track days every 2 weeks and I'm after a harder compound to last a bit longer. WET: 6/10 DRY: 6/10 VALUE: 8/10 Pretty quiet ride, they don't warm up much through the hills though (what do you expect) and screech a bit if your hauling ass around twisties. predictable though, not a bad price. Can't say i like these more than the KU36's i tried previously (handling wise) but fark they were cheaper and will definitely LAST LONGER!
  14. im getting a repco db tester for shits n giggles now
  15. Spotted Greeny (GO AHEAD -pretty sure it was you!) pulling into the highlander last night, wouldve been around 9pm or so? And a silver 33 waving at me at bridge road/montague road intersection
  16. me and my old man run supermarket grade oil in our hektik skylines and thrash them while its cold, burnout out of the driveway FTW!! settle down mate, you have no idea how i treat/maintain my car. To the OP - hope you got ur prob sorted!
  17. +1 with tangles comment. i wouldn't let anyone drive my car at the track - let alone to beat my own personal records etc. Luke has guts/trust/big balls for letting the Chef fang his car
  18. spotted James (JMW) rolling on 33GTR stockies (where are those black XD9's?!) near munno parra shops at 11:15am. stuck you the thumbs up out the window, got one back
  19. my 34 gtt seems to hold back if you get in it and pot it around from the moment you turn the key. 5mins later - gone. remember these cars are nearly all 10+ years old - the systems/diagnostics (in standard ECU form) aren't as advanced as we once used to think they were
  20. so no pics then..? seems like there's some good interest for your car mate.
