5 Stud Front Hubs
Nebuchernezzer replied to Nebuchernezzer's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Cool, handy to know. Dimensions on whatever 5 stud hubs people have at hand is cool. Any idea of which is the cheapest/most common? -
Hey, i'm after some dimension on the 5 stud front hubs from a skyline/200sx or 300zx (i'm presuming they are all the same). If anyone can get the following dimensions it'd be great. Bearing inside diameter Bearing outside diameter Width (from inside of hub to outside of hub face, where the rim bolts on, not the tip of the hub centre) Thanks Jarich

Harsh Ride In R32 Gtst
Nebuchernezzer replied to B0oStEr's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Increasing preload will make your ride firmer, it will also reduce your travel since there is less distance for the spring to travel before it reaches crush height. No idea if 40mm is to much preload. -
Bugatti Veyron Dethroned Already?
Nebuchernezzer replied to Big Rizza's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Bugatti is still cooler, the impression i get is that it has world beating performance without the sense you are going to die when you unleash the 1000hp. It looks cooler to IMHO. -
1 year old K&N washable pod filter, just the pod by itself but lasts just about forever i'm told. Selling due to having a few spare filters around, i'm using a HKS pod on my car (not that great if you see the reviews) due to space restrictions. Asking $50 (around $100-110 new for this size). Adaptors to RB AFM are around $25. Also have Apexi pod for $25 also with no adaptor. PICS

VL, radiator has a section in the middle to direct the water through the core, it can become loose meaning the water bypasses the radiator, doh. VL is lighter, but flexier, esp in the rear end. There is some minor difference in the engines (i think plenums differ to clear the low VL bonnet), makes like 2kw difference or so i'm told. VL i'm sure has a fairly extensive aftermarket, since they are a bit of a cult car, probably cost more then a R31. Diffs are very similar borg warner units in the two and the LSDs in both are shite. Take your pick really . VL is probably a nicer looking car overall.

Thanks They are pretty sweet (i had a black/blue set on my old car) but i have no use for semi slicks, he doesn't seem keen to split em either. PM'd him tho .

Fs : Volk Cv Pro 17
Nebuchernezzer replied to Manwh0re's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
235s look a little stretched (just a touch) on those rims, you sure the rims aren't wider? I have 235s on 7s and they look a little buldgy (potenzas like you too). -
I'm after a set of 17x9 +20 offset rims. Not looking for heaps flashy rims, just a cheapish set for my drift car. Don't need tyres as i have two new and two half worn to suit this sized rim. I'm in Newcastle. [email protected] or PM

White 17" Rims For Sale

Hks Pod (r32)/ Sard Boost Gauge
Nebuchernezzer replied to thanglongz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Pics of gauge? -
I have two sets of 17" rims for sale. One set is 17x7 Mullins/CSA Pursuit wheels. Pretty much as new condition i don't recall any scratches so any that are there are very minor. PCD is 4x114.3 and offset is +40. These will fit 180sx, Silvia, U13 Bluebird and perhaps some other cars like ET pulsar etc. PM me with what you've got and i'll see if i can work out if they'll fit. Asking $550ono Second set is 17x7 BSA 178 wheels, 3 are in great condition but the 4th is kerbed and isn't quite straight. You can't feel it to drive on but can see it when you spin the rim fast. Probably repairable but if not then just replace it with new rim. PCD is 4x114.3 and offset is +40 Asking $250ono Rubber is no good, this is a pic of both sets: The BSA rims on my old Gazelle Selling due to 5 stud conversion PM or email me on [email protected] Prefer pickup but i'm down Sydney way every now and again. Thanks Jarich

R32 Gtr Diff Information
Nebuchernezzer replied to Nebuchernezzer's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Took the back off and sussed it out, you can see the ramps that make it a 2 way diff fairly easily here. The oil is pretty clean in it to (although i'll change it anyways). Fun -
R32 Gtr Diff Information
Nebuchernezzer replied to Nebuchernezzer's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thats ok, my last drifter had a stock long nose clutch pack LSD that was loose to, i found it quite fine to drift with since i was applying enough torque to lock it up nicely . EDIT: i bought it now, we'll see how it goes . -
R32 Gtr Diff Information
Nebuchernezzer replied to Nebuchernezzer's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Cool, the number of 'ways' of the diff is pretty easy to tell by eye (from the angle of hte 'ramps' that actuate the clutches), i'll work on getting a photo of the guts of the thing. Since it comes with Shafts and hubs i guess thats not really a problem and the tailshaft flange is most likely the same but can be swapped with my current viscous diff if need be. Thanks -
R32 Gtr Diff Information
Nebuchernezzer replied to Nebuchernezzer's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ah k, a helical or viscous isn't of much interest to me, i'll see if i can get a photo of the centre, it'll be easy to tell then. Did they ever come with a clutch pack centre? Being a hipo car i thought they might have gotten a clutch pack in em. -
A search didn't give me what i wanted to know so i'll ask . I'm looking for a decent diff for my S13, mechanical 1.5 or 2 way is preferred of course. Now i've come accross an R32 GTR diff, axles and rear hubs. This would seem perfect since i want to go 5 stud at the rear anyways so i want some info on the parts. Is the R32 GTR diff a clutch pack type and how many 'ways' is it? Are the half shafts unique to an R32 GTR (ie if i snap one will i have to replace with a GTR part because of unique spline count etc)? Will it bolt up to a Silvia after swapping the rear covers (looks like it will)? What is the diff ratio?

2-way Lsd... Gts-t
Nebuchernezzer replied to ctjet's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Given the enormous cost of a rear cover gasket i'm sure a potential buyer will be happy to get a new one having seen the internals of the diff. Just make your own out of gasket paper if you have to. Thats all i did on my last R200 . -
2-way Lsd... Gts-t
Nebuchernezzer replied to ctjet's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Just a matter of taking the back cover off, it'd be like 10x 10mmm bolts . Easy Anyone have any idea if skyline and silvia R200s are interchangable?
