  1. good driving mate, looks like fun. and BTW
  2. BTW tim, leave the cones alone this time
  3. just look for the grumpiest old bloke there. actually, here's a pic, that's him on the right
  4. might need pics, in most skylines they are added during compliance so it could be any setup. you do need a high mount stop light to be legal, are you looking to remove or replace?
  5. no, it is pretty high. I think dynopack might be a hub dyno. If I am reading the last graph correctly the standard turbo(purple?) is at 18psi which is high for a standard turbo. my race car makes less than that with r32 n1s at standard boost (12psi).
  6. Nismo AFMs cannot be run with an unmodified standard computer, likewise you cant replace nismo AFMs with standard ones without retuning. Nismo ones often come up on here at good prices as people move up to AFM-less computers. BTW what makes you think the AFM is dying? without monitoring the voltage it can be hard to tell, and its unlikely 2 are failing in the same way at the same time
  7. standard should be fine....what sort of use will they have? motorsport?
  8. definitely get it from under the car. you might be able to get it with a regular ring spanner, if not a stubby spanner will definitely get in there. If it is too tight to undo with the short spanner just use a short piece of rope thru the end of the spanner and pull downwards, that will give you enough leverage.
  9. awesome, enjoy it. mine's been manual for almost 10 years now and it's still great fun
  10. ahh yes. still, n1 pump is not an improvement on a street car. unless you've changed something recently a bleeding problem is unlikely, a pressure test of the system might be worthwhile to see if you have a small leak Nathan don't worry in the slightest about temps near 100. Check the stock gauge when it's at 100 you'll see its still in the middle, nowhere near hot....having a digital temp gauge can just give you unnecessary worries
  11. damn no prize for 3rd!
  12. yep and turf the nismo thermostat and put a standard one back in, unless you are racing it. also, don't bother with an n1 pump on a road car it just gives you less water flow at road speeds.
  13. Are you sure they are a factory part? Many models have side repeaters fitter for aussie compliance, and the complier generally chooses something cheap like pulsar ones
  14. lol wat? Pretty sure GT3 has never claimed to be a production class.
  15. yeah serves them right for their greed over the years, particularly in import parts. global competition is much easier these days
  16. yep I've had exactly that problem....when I had the dash out and didn't plug the mirror switches back in. they are pretty easy to get to and just pop out forward....so give that a check first
  17. love it. still fun even when you know how it ends
  18. awesome to see everyone providing good updates, and good on you for asking the question in the first place. changing coils is a good idea no matter if they are the only issue, so buy some from just jap or similar, and follow a DIY guide on here to change them. It will probably take an hour or 2 to do carefully if you've never done anything like this before. And if you're not confident just ask someone to come and give you a hand. BTW pretty poor form from the shop but to be fair their expertise is oil changes on commodores and camrys.....
  19. AA and AP are both class A (outright). AP was allowed 2 professional, 1 amateur driver AA was allowed 1 professional, 2 amateur drivers So year, AA beating AP is impressive. But then again those kids had done so may hours on playstation maybe they should be considered pro
  20. umm yeah, nah. no updates from me, especially not on the new national holiday, "Nismo Day". I have been working on the trailer mostly, added solar panel, battery, invertor, compressor, winch, cameras lights etc. Pretty big job but all sorted now and should be nice and convenient at the track And now that's done, I need to sort the spares Neil and I brought back from the container the other week. Then...back to this old girl!
  21. fking awesome, stayed on the right lap and out of trouble all day. and definitely had the pace in the last 15min when it mattered. go nismo! and also, sucked in v8s. couldn't have been a better result for Nissan and free to air as you piss off to foxtel. especially after moving your dates around and deliberately banning supercar drivers from Bathrust
  22. nah I've not even started all the work, I'm months away. the rallysprint looks like fun though
  23. facewhatnow? I think Kel has mentioned it
  24. haha it's not serious motorsport until someone is unhappy with the results great to see the passion for winning. and I totally understand and agree Chris, great to see something hard for us. bring on next round
