  1. I do have one tip for that....you can buy 13mm square drive plug removers. So ideally buy one of those, and once the old plug is out replace it with a new plug. Or take it to a gearbox place
  2. good to hear that it was a simple fix, but you need to be a little careful with just putting it straight to the chassis. Does the fuel pump still turn off after a few seconds when you turn the ignition on (but do not start the car?) In a lot of these systems the ECU uses the earth to turn off the fuel pump when the ignition is on but the car does not start. If your fuel pump does not turn off (may be hard to hear), you need to add a relay where pin 85 goes to the original ECU earth to the fuel pump (12v can come from any ignition switched source to pin 86). Then connect the old fuel pump earth to pin 30 and pin 87 then to the chassis earth.
  3. The only purpose of that spring is to keep the shoe in place, so if you can't find a stagea one at a wrecker you should be able to use any spring of a similar size and strength; most drum brake setups will have one. If not a wrecker try a hardware or industrial supplies shop. And no, you won't have to adjust anything after replacing it
  4. It must be a full moon at the moment. I think Nick and OSB0RN's point is really important. What is intended to be fun jibes between 2 people who know each other can look like something totally different to the 99% of community members who don't have that history.
  5. Unfortunately a number of the mod and admin team have had to hand out further warnings and bannings today on this topic. We have also decided to hide a number of the less helpful posts. Lift the tone, think before you post, and treat your fellow community members like human beings. Or you are not welcome here. Pretty simple.
  6. Not leg pulling, I was just wrong.... I was thinking of rb26 not 25
  7. that's about the standard boost mate....is the boost controller turned on? generally it would be set between 12 and 14psi for a standard turbo
  8. Luke, I started this thread because of the increase in behaviour which was contrary to the forum rules, in the hope that people would read, think, and change how they were acting - so warnings and bannings would not be required. There is no "at fault" here, each person's behaviour gets judged on their actions only. I'll repeat, if you believe a member is trolling, report the post to moderators so we can review and act.
  9. Sorry if I gave the impression I was joking. Matt, you have been banned. Luke, at no time do two wrongs make a right. If you have a problem with someone's behaviour please use the "Report" button to notify the moderator of the section so they can review and take action. Please people take a deep breath and bring a bit of nice back to the community.
  10. no, in the 29 cases I reviewed in the NSW section in August, panel gaps referred to deliberate trolling and baiting of a forum member 100% of times. Let's just raise the tone and not be personal.
  11. car won't start update?
  12. Trolling and personal attacks removed. Refer here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/431224-forum-rules-reminder/
  13. Over the last few months there has been an increasing level of baiting, trolling and personal attacks across the NSW section For those who may have forgotten the rules they agreed to when signing up, the link is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules These forums are intended to be a friendly and welcoming place to all genuine enthusiasts, if you want to form an e-gang to bully people go somewhere else for your sport. For the avoidance of doubt, the term "panel gaps" will attract a warning. Now put down your keyboards and give each other a hug.
  14. Reece have a chat to fatz, he always has bit around. I can bring it down to Canberra if you need, I am working down there atm.
  15. That's about 10% more than previously isn't it? Should help....
  16. I spotted a black ADM on Victoria Rd this morning, NSW plates GTR 091, looked dead stock. It doesn't seem to be on the list yet
  17. spotted a very clean ADM GTR this morning on Victoria Rd GTR 091
  18. man that is a lot of car for that price.
  19. OK threads merged, I didn't realise it was the same car. I guess John has driven this car a bit before as well.
  20. bad news for me, good news for someone else. I have to be in Melbourne that night for work
  21. sad outcome. are you changing your forum name to Buy It Mik?
  22. I did this course last year and can highly recommend it. There was an excellent mix of theory to explain what you are doing, and practical tuning.
  23. yeah my 2nd hand trailer came with 5 car tyres, it wasn't until the 3rd one blew out (snapping some studs as it left for a cow paddock) that I moved to light truck tyres. never had an issue in 000s of klm after that. yep, slow learner
  24. lame dancer is lame. BTW they were 5th and 8th again this afternoon until about 3 laps to go (they didn't pit for tyres and lost a few spots to the cars that did). So the speed poorer today, but not by an order of magnitude
