  1. BTW, it's worth adding just changing to cruise control dropped my fuel usage from 15/100 to 13/100. Since I'm doing 1000klm per week at the moment it should pay off pretty quick.
  2. dammit just makes me a wanker. what is an arboretum BTW this city is cold
  3. Good to see an R35 giving a proper shot at racing, the targa spec ones have not been competitive. Will it be your first race in about 3 weeks or have you done some racing before. There's nothing quite like sitting on the grid waiting for the lights to go out... Either way, Good luck!
  4. great to see it coming along, imagine a $uperlap car being built in a garage!
  5. congrats on the win Chris, it's great to see you getting so much reliable race time too (sorry if I just jinxed you) When is next round?
  6. woot! stageas on the grid!
  7. sorry I didn't give an actual update. after a short time sitting around this has kicked along again. 50,000 new hoses ordered from a ST lunatic in japan and the old engine is out. need to assemble new engine, replace heaps and get it rolling again. unfortunately I have a "too many projects" issue. while this is a cool little car it is not first on the list (3rd, actually, behind finishing the ute, and the race car)
  8. actually that reminds me, I haven't seen times for texi yet. is it raining down there? It hasn't stopped raining in Sydney for 3 weeks. The lawn is damn long.
  9. I guess Leaf goes with Prius, so I'm an Eco Wanker. If only I had enough battery to get it to Canberra....guess I'm stuck with the stagea for a few more weeks
  10. haha can you post up a DIY with instructions for others with that issue? I removed the faded and cracked rain shield/wind deflector thingies. Unfortunately the weather strips under won't clean up OK, I think I'll need to replace them sometime.
  11. Strangely, while the headlights and brake lights are LED, pretty much everything else were standard incandescent globes. I've changed them all across to LEDs too I calculated the reduced current draw of 6 indicators, 2 parker lights, 2 number plate lights, and will save approximately f**k all power. But they do look better. I have also got a lead on some decent lightweight wheels, and some other excellent Leaf mod news. But I don't think I should give that away until its sorted
  12. OK so serious performance mods last week....I've installed the LED kick plates (factory option, but not available in Oz) from this grey plastic crappy-ness to this super cool stainless LED rice-ness
  13. That's a standard piston mate, the O5U is the giveaway it is the GTR part number. The number on the piston is the grade (1, 2 or 3). In any case, use a standard head gasket.
  14. Have a chat to Risking (Brad) who has posted earlier in this thread, he can help you out.
  15. You're seeing his wife? Sure, but why post up?
  16. lol who? firstly you can beat all of them (except probably the porker), especially if you can borrow a set of semi slicks seriously though....assuming the car is in good condition, do an oil change, have the brakes bled and keep the boost turned down, you'll have a ball. I ran my old gtst (standard boost) at track days for years without any mechanical issues. Its only when you modify them that you have troubles. # of laps are easy...keep going until the brakes fade or the water starts to get hot
  17. oh yeah I didn't mean to give the impression I'd slowed down. I brought the cube down this week, it is twitchy at the best of times let alone running through deep puddles.
  18. No, that sounds expensive. In related news....how f**king poorly do your gutters deal with a bit of rain? Lakes everywhere tonight!
  19. I guess you should compare to a supercar lap time, the Konicas have been there and they were doing .58 or .59. Still....1.05 without semis is pretty amazing....well done.
  20. Apparently there is one on: three-six-two-four-three-six. He leads a life of crime.
  21. HA HA HA f**k I'M FUNNY. Working down here for about 6 months
  22. Just chillin'
  23. Spotted 00 STAG on the road to Queenbeyan tonight.
  24. To me function was more important than looks; running it higher than stock helped a lot when towing very large loads.
