  1. Oh dammit. I was told this 2 1/2 years ago but never watched it until now. Wraith is an absolute classic car movie. It had everyting you could want: * A genuine running prototype (a dodge turbo of all things). * Charlie Sheen before he was cool. then uncool....spouting philosophy and hitting on the chick with 80s hair (yes, both he and the chick sport classic 80s hair) * The super tought gang members apparently have helmets rolling around in the footwells that they put on when they do their racing up to the lookout. * They have fast forward driving scenes that knight rider would be embarrassed about * The same car exploding 3 different ways in the same crash * A spectacular mid 80s sound track On a much sader note, and a reminder about the days before verything was computer generated....one of the film crew was killed, and another paralysed, after a crash while shooting a chase scene. These guys did it the real way.
  2. need pics! ohlins are often gold, bilsteins are often yellow....but no guarantee
  3. yeam mine has the hectic black guards, and a ful sik HKS exhaust which seems to neither add power nor change the noise, just looks different. Yours has been lowered a fair bit too I think, looks good.
  4. cubes are cool dailies, we've got one of those too.
  5. :wavey: didn't see you, were you ?
  6. Hi Adam, all skyline shock/springs are coilover, because the spring is attached to (around) the shock. I guess you mean aftermarket springs/shocks. The only way the shock and spring can affect the wheel position, is that the lower the car is, the more camber you will get. Even then it is mininal (1-2o only). So, you may get the wheel fitment you want by returning your springs to stock ride height.
  7. There is no adjustment to camber in the stock front suspension. To adjust front camber you either need adjustable upper control arm bushes, or adjustable upper control arms. There is about 1/2o in the rear suspension, which is done at the inside end of the upper control arm.
  8. great to see more support coming on board, good on those businesses. re the corner weights, the overall weight but also the good split will really be helping. My GTR comes in at 1450, but it is about 950 front and 500 rear....so the outside front tyre is working damn hard on mine. Yours should feel much nicer into corners, and be kinder on the tyre as well.
  9. Hi mate, Kel mentioned you guys had some bad luck on the weekend...is it the end for that car or will it be fixed? pm sent re the terraphone
  10. test drove one the other day, it was hilarious. It is probably the quickest car I've driven to respond to the throttle.....if you mash it in traffic nothing will keep up. Has no top end or handling of course but it's response was excellent. It is not quick from a standing start, clearly the good people at nissan decided to put some additional throttle mapping. TC can be turned off but the initial response from a standing start is still limited some other way. BTW we were talking about the fact an electric car with 1 gear would go as fast in reverse as it would forward...and sure enough: http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/nissans-reverse-world-record-20120626-20zad.html
  11. exactly...it is one thing for attessa to intend to send power to the front (as shown by the gauge and warning/error lights), but another for how much it is working. I'm pretty sure a 4wd dyno can confirm the torque split between front and rear wheels. A basic test is to have the car on a hoist or stands and run the car in gear. front and rear wheels should turn together. the main parts of the system are sensors and electrical (this should all be covered by warning lights), the accumulator and pump (you would need a pressure gauge on the attessa line to check) and the actual transfer case including clutches etc. What needs servicing or replacing depends on what is working of course.
  12. Cooling Pro 34 row oil cooler Brand new in box. Size: 34 row (damn big) Dimensions: 33cm wide x 28cm high x 5cm deep Make sure it will fit! It was too big for the spot I had Price: $130 pick up in Sydney, or post at buyer’s expense
  13. sounds likely. I ran about the same castor and 235/35/17, and no liners, and don't come that close
  14. Unless you know where to get cheap PWRs from....that would be worth fixing.
  15. Thanks Christian, it's far easier to stay across things now
  16. cancel that, new topics are fine, and always have been PMs say "<username> started a new personal conversion with you" or "<username> has replied to a personal conversion". It would be helpful to have the title in the subject as well, eg "<username> has started/replied to a personal conversion <title>"
  17. looks perfect, thanks mate. Have you done the new topic, pm and report post email topics as well?
  18. post where? lol that's why it matters to me! I'm too old fashioned to follow individual threads....
  19. The different results between Bel and Jimmy are interesting - goes to show the health of your attessa system overall is probably the most important factor. There is just too much that might be working properly/not quite working properly/dead after all these years for any sort of general comments about controllers. You really need to just try one and see what you get. Those ebay ones are pretty much just a $5 variable resistor in a black box, but a controller will make a big difference in a healthy system, even a basic one like that. If you want something excellent, try Paul Ruzic's (Mountainrunner) 4wd controller
  20. nice work...you didn't leave much spare track, and that is a damn quick time.
  21. btw, shoe shown in photo of the tread is not included either
  22. lol good point...first post updated.
  23. I have a set of genuine R32 GTR Vspec wheels for sale in very good condition. 17x8 +30 offset, forged. I was saving them for a vspec restoration I was planning....but plans change so they are for sale. Price is $1200, firm. Pickup or delivered in Sydney, forget posting! 3 wheels in excellent condition 1 with minor kerbing 4 centre caps (some paint flaking, they are plastic from the factory) 2 tyres (unknown age) with useable tread 2 tyres (unknown age) below wear limits Excellent wheels, at a good price for anyone who is putting together a stock vspec - they are also a very good strong, light wheel for someone looking for a set for general use.
  24. The bottom one looks like a GTR actuator to me, so it could be from an R32....just not a 32 GTST....
