What Is The Rarest Stag Part You Have Or Seen?
Duncan replied to dirtyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
The nismo dash with TV surely does fit a c34 S1. I have one They were also available for r33 gtr. Not sure if it interchangeable of different. But I still want to know who has an electric scissor jack, or tent that fits on the roof racks! -
Nothing funny about it ...doing the right thing matters. I'll stick to the right side of Karma, thanks. It will be good to catch up Kat.

mate, it's a nationals event, run by a club. I'm sure their only aim is to make sure every skyline enthusiast has a way to take part. If you are worried, just leave the class blank and let them work it out To me, it is more about being part of a great group of like minded people, rather than just another commercial track day.

So How Many Of Us Going On Putty Road On Sunday
Duncan replied to KNG35M's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
damn, it is perfect stagea weather for outside. unfortunately my turbo shit itself so car is off the road still, it would be great to see some Stageas out, it is a sensible cruise and the whole family would enjoy it. -
I'm looking forward to the Skyline Nationals, will be there for sure. Support the not-for-profit club event Not the other one.

No Abs Unit On My R32 Gtr
Duncan replied to r32gtrv-spec's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
correct...so the question is...does your car have a rear wiper? I think it was most likely changed as it was leaking as Adam said BTW I think it is optimistic at best to suggest no ABS is better for street (or even rally use). Maybe for an experienced driver on a race track, but that is about the only time. -
but if you did feel like trusting it...it is perfectly normal for it to go up with revs - the faster you rev the quicker the oil pump spins, pushing more oil.

mmm I am never letting my nismo dash and EJ-1 go....they will have to be prised out of my cold, dead hands. While looking through FAST today to see if you can buy side skirt clips seperately (you can't ), I found some other wierd options......lets see if we can dig up cars/pics of them in real life: Incase you forget what the car is called. Also proves to bystanders it is not a volvo Nissan stripes....much cooler than nismo stripes For the brand concious father Yes, you don't need to buy an M35 to get ugly plastic wheel flares Momo/recaro branded seats and mats WTF? Factory options remember! Super clock to replace the factoy clock (I think there are pics earlier in this thread) Luggage fan to keep that glass area all smelling the same For stageas that mine that spend too long off the road. Yes a factory cover, complete with nissan badge Who would have ordered this? Really lazy japanese blokes which such bad luck they are always changing tyres???? And the big daddy...your own stagea tent annex -
Pcmcia Serial Adapters Work With Datalogit ?
Duncan replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi mate, I picked up the laptop at ht, about 1500 http://www.ht.com.au/list.hts?keyword=6560b. It's not cheap (although not horribly expensive either), I travel a lot and learned years ago to buy something that is a bit better built. This one seems pretty good. The fact it had a serial port is what sealed it for me....so much easier dealing with 80s car technology if you have a serial port on board. Re running on windows 7 64bit, it just would not work. I installed it a couple of times and it kept complaining about not being able to find TABCTL32.OCX I was running it on a 32bit virtual session in 64bit windows for a while, until I tried running it as "Administrator". Since I changed that setting it has worked fine on win 64bit. Right click on FC-Edit.exe, go to the Compatibility tab, and turn on the Run as Administrator check box at the bottom of the screen. -
Pcmcia Serial Adapters Work With Datalogit ?
Duncan replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
sorry, I don't know about the ritmo adapter.... but I can report i am happily running Datalogit on Win7 64 bit on a brand new HP Probook 6560b which I was surprised to find sitting in a shop with an old fashioned serial port on the back! -
So Will Sau Folk Still Refuse To Watch V8 Supercars
Duncan replied to Roy's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
lol. the shame. that's twice this week I've been wrong Unless I've missed the point, the altima is a fwd shitbox that is going to replace maxima in the road going line up? The replacement for a bluebird...or a 200b? I wonder if nissan oz are aware of a model in their JDM lineup called "skyline" -
Info/advice On Removing A Car On Jack Stands
Duncan replied to verger's topic in General Maintenance
if the tow truck can get close it is pretty simple....they can just drag in on the chassis rails. You may want to protect whatever surface it is on with wooden boards or similiar alternatively, 2 trolley jacks (1 at either end) will let you roll and empty shell, they are pretty light. Just take it slowly -
nasty....at least the stages was close enough to rescue the trailer. funnily enough the stagea pulled the foulcan up catherine hill too. but i bet a foulcan motor is shitloads cheaper than a stagea, or even a q7 motor.

what was the deal? I figure one or both turbo's boost control was farked
-
Ahh OK, now I understand. Makes more sense too Well, I've seen it done 3 ways: Unplug the switch in the dash Unplug the wiring to the globe Cut the power wire for the light. Depending on the original compliancer's level of laziness it could be any. Certainly there is no "official" way to disable them, they just can't work after compliance. I would start with the engine bay, simply because it is easiest. There will be 2 sets of wires going to the headlight, one for the main, one for the fog lights. Most likely the second is unplugged or cut. Sorry I don't have my car handy here to check, it is in original JDM spec as it was never complied
-
Unlikely that they bothered with seperate wiring....so if you pull the adm dash is there still plugs in place? Does the ADM have the switches or a blank.

BTW, anyone who has standard power up to "usual" mods or even higher....don't read all this and think you need to spend money on brakes. If you are getting fade with anything under about 300+kw at Wakefield, what you really need is better tyres, less braking, and more corner speed. So instead of eyeing off that $8k AP racing kit, buy a set of semi slicks like federal fz201 instead.
