  1. Tas rally again next weekend.....have you guys sorted some snow?
  2. 3 wins Terry.....my Stagea has a TV for up to 5 people that can't live without the final
  3. that 6l rule was relaxed for the turbo foulcans in prod cars. I guess it doesn't matter too much at standard boost lol. sorry no idea about the 3d rules
  4. Lincorp have an account for SAU members: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/110923-club-discount-at-lincorp/ I get stuff there regularly
  5. tech night....stay tuned
  6. I don't know about #1 on that list, but #2, Powerplay Imports have stopped trading some months ago. Anyone who was owed money (and it seems many were) is probably out of luck there.
  7. and guages only generally pull 1-2 amps
  8. Lots of our events on different days....the drag day was on a Saturday, so was the last track day, and so is the upcoming MDTC track day. Some events are even on week nights like our upcoming suspension tech night. But overall....we have to organise on days that suit most people, and that is normally a sunday.
  9. The thing I don't understand...is it is dead easy to check the fuel pump is supplying enough fuel (fuel pressure guage, can even be inline to the fuel line on the dyno). If fuel pressure suddenly starts to drop especially at max torque, you are having a fuel pump flow issue.
  10. jesus, give the bloke a break. as if anyone in a high powered rear wheel drive car has never had some unexpected wheelspin. if you respond by lifting off, and you are already on a bend, you are likely to spin. Anyway, Robert, join the NSW club, come along to some of our motorkhana and driver training days. These are great handling cars you just need to get used to how they react.
  11. what was the result of the compression test? are you certain the cam timing is correct, and that the base timing is accurate? Is it making the right power for 20o or is it miles short?
  12. #1 is the power steering sensor (pressure?) #2 I think is important. there are 2 plugs there the same (can't remember exactly where each goes, but they are the only 2 in the engine bay you can plug in the wrong way). Is the engine running? #3 I am not 100% sure, maybe HICAS plug? do you still have hicas pumps under the plenum?
  13. Jim did you ever organise club rego for the car?
  14. send it to Dan...he took the time t answer your question
  15. haha its a good year to fix a leak too
  16. yeah that curve looks excellent considering that everything is standard. and good work brad tidying it up the car so quickly. good luck for the weekend....2 hours racing is a hell of a shakedown for a brand new car. Mine gets through a tank of fuel in about 55min so keep an eye on fuel surge from about 50min
  17. excellent result pete...once the boost restrictor is on you will need to drop to 12psi but you should still be 240kw+ why pinging on higher boost? was fuel pressure OK? or just injectors running out?
  18. my car is not a donor.
  19. really? how deep is the nitriding, and how much is ground off for oversize bearings?

  21. perfect. there are lots of tools in GTRs
  22. Don't worry about the grades, they were for brand new pistons in a brand new bore. If you are putting used pistons into a used block, the only way to do it is to hone the block, clean the pistons sure thoroughly, and then measure each in multiple places (especially the bore because it can become oval instead of round over time). Then drop the pistons in as the best match you can regardless of original grade. Even then, the clearances may still be too large, that is why people commonly bore out 0.5mm when rebuilding.
  23. lol cube looks square enough to be a wagon to me
  24. I can't help with finding a gtr oil cooler (perhaps try Steve at Just Jap), but I never re-use an oil cooler from a motor that had a bearing problem. Too many little spaces in oil coolers, and it's a very expensive gamble. I'd never buy or use a second hand cooler for the same reason.
  25. anyway, webber was never going to overtake that lap after drs didn't get him past...he needed one more lap to have another shot. horner went early with his team orders....should have shut up and not looked like a dickhead
