  1. really? BTW I do get lots of email notifications....but I also 100% definately miss some.
  2. What was the price? I'm willing to bet there is no reasonably priced commercial option....
  3. Deano45....good to hear No, WSID require a complete list of entrants by noon Tuesday. Make sure Dave has your entry by then, we cannot change these rules. There are still spots available...so for those considering entering, get your details in ASAP!
  4. so you have nissan volts to motec volts, and motec volts to actual G? should be easy to map out, I'll remember to bug you about it
  5. I am 99% sure Justjap don't have new boxes in stock any more (although feel free to check!), I bought one from them a few years back, but I understood whole new boxes can't be sourced any more. The rebuild I did since then I just put new synchros and bearings in a second hand box, it came up as good as the new one.
  6. Would love any data on this too. My g sensor is wired into my data logger, and any calibration data would be helpful
  7. This event is absolutely going forward, and it's going to be great There are about 15 spots remaining until we are full, but WSID require us to cut off entries after this weekend. So get in quickly!
  8. yeah agreed.....I've often run directional race tyres on the wrong side in the dry, there was no noticeable performance difference. But in the wet they must run in the right direction
  9. Just don't give away how it ends!
  10. WRC have been running turbos for years....they cost $50k+ each retail. Haven't seen many of them on road cars.
  11. just fitting coilovers now. should be ready shortly
  12. Scott....bring the car up and sleep in the boot...easy it would be good to see some stageas out there instead of just the coles carpark...and on the net.
  13. Yeah that was a fail for me. The car does not unlock at step 3. To be fair, it is a Cube not an M35. The remote is definately the same (same part#s on circuit board) but the programming method must be different.
  14. yeah either find or make a lip to bash on. shouldn't need too much force it's a little bolt. There is no washer under the bolt head, actually I think they designed it to be captive but it isn't quite held. the bolt head side on the driveshaft is pretty tight on the head.
  15. ouch. can you get a chisel onto the nut to turn it? remember to lock up the other side of the bolt when you do. dremel can always cut the bolt if needed. I've found those bolts to be a problem before too...they often come pre-fcuked from earlier owners.
  16. bloody hell....good committment to head from Perth to Darwin for a race....was it your first time on the track? well done keeping up with the big bangers with such a long straight on the track
  17. yeah kelpie wasn't happy about having to move for the pic either. It is lighter, better laid out and stronger than the old dash...win/win/win
  18. Hey Neil, how is your dash fitment going? You need a centre console like this, a mate put it together for me.
  19. I reckon you might be right.....Nissan have made some pretty impressive cars, but the 260rs was a brilliant combination of speed and space
  20. Award gearbox and diff in Seven Hills are excellent, and reasonably priced. They have done heaps of RB boxes. But before you reco the box, try using redline lightweight shockproof oil. It is pretty good at masking synchro problems. Or just go granny shifting
  21. Shouldn't be a problem. CAMS require you to follow Schedules A, B and F as a minimum for all events. From there you only have to worry about any specific regs for the category you are running in. Most race cars don't have lights, although almost all touring cars do
  22. Sure did.... They really need to run it up on a dyno, the timing that 98 can take vs 91 will make it immediately obvious. I got a bad batch of fuel that almost destroyed a brand new motor...and Shell stonewalled me. Their "investigation" found no issue. And as I didn't suffer financial loss, Fair Trading had no interest
  23. You should be able to use the factory location for the side straps on each side. The shoulder straps on the other hand won't meet CAMS requirements if you use the rear seatbelt mounts, it is too far down. The safest place to mount them is at parcel shelf height, but the parcel shelf itself is not srong enough. Best idea is to buy or make a "harness bar" if you don't have a rollcage.
  24. that gearbox/transfer case and mounting looks the same as r series. which means you are damaging your transfer case clutches running in RWD only. Plenty of people have done the "seems ok I'll drive like this for a while" thing. the clutch packs have preload, and they will be slipping and wearing like bastards with the attessa pump off. dropping the front driveshaft is fine though.
  25. It's over here too...http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/368540-kumho-lap-battle-championship-prizes/
